Ninja Hero (misspelled/stylized as Ninga Hero) is one of the 200 games that is included with the Lexibook TV 200-in-1 Game Console, an infamous plug-and-play system known for ripping off the Nintendo Wii.

Since the game (along with the console) was developed in China, the game is heavily based on Chinese traditions, Little Ninja, another game on the console features the same protagonist and characters.

Why It's Not a Hero

  1. Hilariously bad misspelling in the title, with the word "Ninja" being spelled as "Ninga" with it also somehow making its way into the title, further showing that the game (like the rest of the games on the console) were rushed.
  2. As stated above, the character assets are just recycled from Little Ninja, another game on the console, with the latter being a rail shooter rather than a beat-up.
  3. Mediocre to overall horrible controls, just like the rest of the games on the console. To do special attacks, you have to press both the up and down buttons at the same time.
    • Things such as jumping attacks only work half the time, even if the enemy is right in front of you.
  4. Lackluster boss battles, as they can easily be corner-spammed with attacks.
  5. The game is extremely broken, as you don't even have to play through the levels to complete them. Instead, you can just quit the game and it'll automatically complete the level.
    • And to add insult to injury, if you fall at any height, even if the ground is only a few feet below you, it still counts as an instant death.
  6. Like the rest of the "32-bit" games on the console, the graphics look quite sub-par and don't look any better than the fifth/early sixth generation game.
  7. The sound effect that plays when you collect an item is stolen from the original Sonic the Hedgehog, in which it is the bumper sound from the latter game. A lot of other games on the console also use this sound for some reason.
  8. The game also even steals music from the Naruto anime series, such as Kurama's theme and Lightning Break.
  9. Choppy-looking animations that look like they run at 10 FPS or lower.
  10. Extremely short length. Can be beaten in less than 2 minutes due to how broken the game is as stated above.

The Only Redeeming Quality

  1. The game can be ironically funny to play despite still being bad.

Reception

The game was critically panned by several reviewers alike, mainly due to the game's recycled assets from other games (specifically Little Ninja), poor graphics (like all of the other games on the console), shoddy controls, stolen sound effects, and extremely broken gameplay.
