"No Body Loves Grim" is the second half of the second episode in the second season of The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy.

Plot

Billy, Mandy, and Grim go to the beach where Grim falls asleep and Billy buries him in sand. When they leave, Billy only takes Grim's skull, leaving Grim's body to be found by a rich family that take it with them. With his adoptive family, Grim's body becomes a celebrity and refuses to go back with Billy and Mandy. Eventually, Grim's skeleton is reunited with his skull, but instants later it is shattered by dogs.

Why Nobody Loves It (Bad Qualities)

  1. Billy is pretty dumb here, as he buries Grim in the sand at the beach when he takes a nap. When he tried to get Grim back up, he accidentally detached his head - but him not finding his body can be justified due to Mandy rushing him and not giving enough time to leave the beach. He also couldn't tell the difference between an egg and a rock.
  2. Mandy is rather unlikable here, and her reason for leaving the beach is not explained well. Sure she gets sunburn easily, has lots of jellyfish and a puppy doesn't let go of her, she could have just put on sunscreen, stay away from the jellyfish and let go of the puppy herself as mentioned above.
  3. It's basically nothing but a Grim torture episode, as he gets buried in the sand by Billy, only his head is taken due to Mandy rushing Billy and gets put in a baby doll's body without his consent, gets used as a bowling ball by a hairy stranger, spat on by a man in the wild west bar and even gets rejected by his body. And although Grim gets his body back in the end, the crowd trampling on him caused him to fall apart and then, Billy puts the doll suit back on him.
    • Speaking of which, Grim in a baby doll's body looks extremely messed up and weird.
  4. Although Billy and Mandy weren't intended to care for Grim that much, they never ask if he's okay at all.
  5. Plot Hole: Although Mandy said that she burns in the sunny weather at the beach, why couldn't she just put on sunscreen to prevent that problem? Also, why couldn't she just stay away from the jellyfish/bandages?
  6. Bad Ending: Although Grim gets his body back in the end after scaring lots of people, a crowd of people tramples and causes the body to separate. Then, a bunch of dogs come over and chase the bones when smelling lots of them, and it ends with Billy saying to Grim who's a good baby and then he checks his diaper and says somebody needs a change.
    • This ending was even considered by a number of people to be a downgraded version of the ending to the Oblongs... episode "My Name is Robbie", and even that episode turned out better, because Bob was upset about what his mechanical suit of limbs has turned him into, and he even chose to get rid of his limbs, because the heart is what matters the most in a man (even if you don't have limbs), which is actually true.

Good Qualities

  1. At least Billy and Mandy still made an effort to find Grim's body and at least found it in the end despite detaching again thanks to the trampling crowd.
  2. Although Grim's head went through torture, the body seemed to have loads of fun with his adopted family as it ate a giant pig for dinner, got messaged into an Eiffel Tower replica, relaxed in the spa with some ladies and even appearing on a magazine to the point of almost getting married.
  3. As mentioned above, Grim's body did come together for a bit, until the crowd trampled and caused it to detach again.
