Plot
When Luan overhears her siblings complaining about her comedy, she decides to give it up.
Bad Qualities
- Luan is out of character in this episode. She gives up completely on her passion rather than making an honest effort in controlling it.
- It's unusual how she now hears that her siblings find her annoying since a few previous episodes hinted that they don't find her funny. (well, for a good REASON!)
- The episode begins on a rather mean-spirited note with Luan pulling obnoxious and harmful pranks on her siblings as she did in the typical April Fools episodes.
- The episode tries to make the siblings look like the bad guys because they upset Luan, even though she was annoying them with her so-called "humor" throughout the whole show & she STILL annoys her siblings to this very day, so it's really her own damn fault.
- Unanswered plot hole: How did Luan win the Comedian's contest if she gave up on comedy altogether, especially at the Chortle Portal?
- Luan is very emotionless and boring when she acts normal, giving her no personality.
- Almost half of the episode is the same; Luan is shown interacting with her siblings in different ways, and it drags on, thereby going absolutely nowhere. Not to say this is necessarily a bad quality, but having it drag on for three or four minutes makes the episode's story go nowhere when doing that.
- The scenes where they try to get Luan to tell a joke/pun drag on for too long, and it gets boring.
- Lola indirectly reveals that she reads Luan's diary (privacy invasion!).
- The ending, while good, is a rip-off type of ending from the Full House episode: “But Seriously, Folks” where Lincoln/Jesse tries to tell jokes onstage and intentionally give a bad performance to where Luan/Joey would return to comedy, except it was done right in Full House. Here, it's completely rushed, just like Sonic '06.
- When the siblings all become confused about Luan acting normal, instead of checking on her, they decide to celebrate by eating pie. To be fair, this was because they didn't want Luan pulling out annoying pranks on them all the time, but that part of the episode still feels more hurtful than pleasant.
- The repetitive, unfunny gag where the siblings' spit in Luan's face anytime she says something, not to mention that it's disgusting as well.
Good Qualities
- The part where Leni hugs Luan is cute and heartwarming. Especially if you put the episode on pause to see that for a minute or two.
- Lori apologizes to Luan for what they said about her.
- Despite being out of character and annoying in the beginning, Luan is the most sympathetic character in this episode.
- Leni is the only one who shows concern for Luan, suggesting that they should see if she's okay, and she redeems herself in the end of the episode.
- The Loud siblings redeem themselves in the end.
- The ending is good because Luan goes back into comedy at the end.
- The plot/story is okay, it's just not well executed right through presentation.
- The animation is great per always thanks to it being animated greatly thanks to Jam Filled Entertainment, who also animate the later seasons.
- The voice acting is awesome per usual.
- The title card music is great and really creative to look at, especially the title card music.
- At least the first few minutes were pretty great.
- There can be some funny moments here and there.
- This episode can be seen as pretty nostalgic, especially after 2017, like the 2020s decade (etc, 2020-2024), especially for Luan Loud fans.
- The floor is still the floor.
