"No Parking" is the 2th episode from Rayman: The Animated Series, and is a continuation of Lac-Mac Napping. It is followed by High Anxiety.
Plot
Rayman and the gang are driving around in Downtown Aeropolis, where they are seen as criminals and a photo of them is shown to Inspector Grub. They drive past him, and are soon being chased by him.
Why It Don't Get In the Police Cah
- The plot is better than the other episodes because here it is written a bit better with more funny jokes than the other episodes, and also it is even more entairtaining than the other episodes.
- The main characters are still likable, especially Rayman himself.
- The animation is still somewhat decent despite still being a bit stiff due to the CGI not being well developped enough in 1999, and this is all despite the fact that the colors of the city are not great to look at.
- It had lot of funny moments, even in comparison to the other episodes, and this is easily the most entairtaining episode of the whole show, exemples include:
- The famous "Cah!" quote that was almost an internet meme.
- The police badge gag is also very funny, and hilarous.
- One clever joke said by Rayman before outsmarting Grub when he pauses Lac Mac driving from the back seat to easily trick Grub.
- The scene where Rayman saved Flip was cool, and is one of the few well executed action scene of the show, especially considering that despite mostly being an action show, it doesn't really had any fights at all, though this episode doesn't had fights too.
- Decent title card that had no misleading infos.
- The ending was somewhat funny because while Rayman and friends escaped, they was Grub that live under their house, and the episode end like this, though at least Grub didn't seen them yet.
Bad Qualities
- Despite being decent as stated in WIDGITPC#6, while the title card look decent, it still look a bit lazy.
- The episode events could had easily avoided if Rayman and his friends seen the "No Parking" sign before parking, and this made them lose the car, so they need to get it back before it's too late.
