Oh, Daisy! is the 23rd episode in the third season of the 2016 Powerpuff Girls reboot.
Plot
Buttercup is not a fan of Bubbles' newly created digital assistant, but must help her sisters in stopping Daisy when an attempt at reprogramming it causes it to go completely mad.
Why the Daisy gets so busted
- That corny pun at the start where one of Bubbles' friends makes about how software programmers don't need lightbulbs, which is a hardware issue.
- Some toilet/gross-out humor here, such as a friend of Bubbles having milk come out his nose and Bubbles farting in one scene.
- The show the Professor catches up on, "Sciencefeld", is a terrible parody of the 80's sitcom Seinfeld.
- It's somewhat a Buttercup torture episode at the start, as Daisy, the digital assistant, keeps calling Buttercup "Bootercup" a lot of times and messes up her hair. Even Blossom, Bubbles and the Professor agree with Daisy.
- The girls barely do any crime-fighting here aside from attacking Daisy's monster form and the narrator is completely absent, as always with the reboot.
- Although Buttercup changed Daisy to become less annoying, Daisy only became a monster and even locked all the windows!
- Half-Bad Ending: Although Bubbles fixed Daisy to make him a functional assistant again and got Buttercup's name right, it ended with Schedule Bot smashing him to pieces, which is a sign of petty jealousy.
Redeeming Qualities
- Near the end, it teaches us on how to do coding and experimenting the parts.
- Half-Decent Ending: Buttercup and Bubbles fix Daisy up, and the next morning, the girls are having pancakes and Daisy finally gets Buttercup's name right.
- Buttercup is a likable character.
Trivia
- This episode aired on St Patrick's Day in 2019.
Reception
It holds a rating of 3.0 out of 10 on IMDB.
