Ol' Blue Nose is the first half of the first episode of Season 5 of The Ren & Stimpy Show, which aired on March 18, 1995.
Plot
Ren hits Stimpy in the nose (after he spends the last quarter they had on the bus station TV) and he starts to sing with a Frank Sinatra-like voice. Stimpy becomes famous, until his nose leaves for a solo career over creative differences.
Why It Rocks
- Nice plot where Ren hits Stimpy's nose, who ends up having a golden voice like Frank Sinatra and ends up becoming a successful singer.
- Decently exaggerated jokes here and there. Especially with Ren getting 100% angry at Stimpy for no reason.
- The singing voice of Stimpy, made by Stimpy's voice actor. This goes to show us all that Billy West is a magnificent and thunderous voice actor.
- Great animation as always, and an upgrade from previous episodes be Games Animation.
- Because of Stimpy's proud fame, Ren deservedly slaps Stimpy's nose again to get what he deserves. However, the nose ends up having a life and gets angry at Ren for beating him up all the time, who ends up leaving his nose and his voice returns to normal. Later, Ren ends up helping Stimpy.
- Speaking of which, Ren tries to fix things by putting a pickle on Stimpy's face, showing that Ren has some kindness in his heart and he cares a lot about Stimpy and is an jerk with a heart of gold. Although unfortunately ended up not helping anymore and Stimpy ends up doing poorly.
- Although Stimpy lost everything and Ren, Stimpy's nose ends up apologizing and Ren and Stimpy ends up singing like good friends again, ending this episode on a happy note.
- Overall, this episode was a great way to begin season 5.

- Ren and Stimpy's song, Come Fry With Me, is an parody of Frank Sinatra's hit song, Come Fly With Me.
- This episode was co-written by Billy West, the voice actor of Stimpy.
