"Open Wide and Say Aaagh!" is the fourth episode in season 6 and the 144th overall episode of The Fairly OddParents!.

Plot

Timmy needs his tonsils removed, and has to spend time at the hospital with Vicky as his nurse. Will he escape from Vicky and find Cosmo and Wanda before it's too late?

Why It Hurts

1. It's literally an 11-minute long malicious Timmy Turner torture episode.
2. This episode started Vicky's bad characterization, as the Butch Hartman, the writer for this episode, proceeded to exaggerate the, "evil babysitter", joke. In addition to wanting to remove Timmy's tonsils painfully, Vicky desires to give Timmy a, "twerpectomy", which basically removes his will to live.
3. Timmy's parents are no better, as they seem to be fully aware of what the aforementioned surgery is and what it entails, and as compensation for allowing their own son to be murdered, the Turners are given 5 nights free in Hawaii. This alone proves that the, "idiot parent", trope is way too overused.
4. There are many plot holes throughout the episode:
   • If Timmy wished for Cosmo and Wanda to fix his tonsils, why didn't they fix his tonsils instantly, instead of dressing up to do so?
   • Why didn't Timmy just wish his tonsils out from the beginning? It would've prevented the events of the episode from happening.
   • Crocker appeared at the beginning of the episode looking fine. Later on, he’s seen broken, with no explanation as to what happened to him.
   • Every single doctor apparently has performed a, "twerpectomy", and they don't see it as murder.
   • How did Vicky qualify as a nurse without going to medical school in the first place?
5. Poof is lazily written out of the episode very quickly, because Wanda thinks tonsillitis is contagious, so she ships him to Mama Cosma for protection, and we never see him again for the rest of the episode.
6. Very annoying running gags, such as Timmy's dad looking for free food, pretending to be sick, and his butt being called a, "full moon".
7. Bad ending where after Timmy finally wishes for his tonsils out, he and his fairies are chased away by the doctors, while Timmy's dad's, "gallbladder surgery", is finished, which is gross, nonsensical, and unfunny.

Redeeming Qualities

1. "Hey, my throat doesn't hurt! I'm cuuured!"
2. Cosmo and Wanda get their comeuppance for not removing the tonsils sooner, at the end of the episode.
   • Vicky also gets her comeuppance, as well.
