Opposites Attract is the third part of the eighth episode in the third season of Dexter's Laboratory.

Plot

Dexter creates a magnetic field to keep Dee Dee away from him, but it malfunctions, causing them to stick together.

Why It Should Be Repelled

  1. Dee Dee is annoying and unlikable here, as she kept touching Dexter in unsettling ways to the point where she knocked one of Dexter's potions. And also, when Dexter's magnetic field malfunctions as she moves him all over the place to the point where she makes him fall to the ground and knock down his shelf of potions.
  2. As already mentioned above, it's basically a Dexter torture episode where Dee Dee touched him in unsettling ways and his magnetic field malfunctioning on him. Sure Dee Dee annoyed Dexter in the first 2 seasons but it was executed better, but in this episode it is handled badly and executed very poorly.
  3. Dee Dee doesn't get punished much, aside from Mom calling her and Dexter out and telling them to make up - but Dexter didn't do anything wrong to deserve it. And Dee Dee should have been sent to her room and or at least be punished some way.
  4. Dad doesn't even bother dealing with Dee Dee annoying Dexter at all, either.
  5. Bad Ending: After Mom tells Dexter and Dee Dee to make up, she accidentally drops Dexter's remote control and gets Dexter and Dee Dee stuck together, then it ends with Dexter crying.
  6. This episode acts as if it was a rehash of the episode "Sole Brother" another bad episode of the 3rd season.
  7. Dee Dee gets no consequences for what she did in the entire episode making her a karma houdini.
  8. This episode even sends out a bad moral showing it is okay to disrespect other people's personal space as shown by Dee Dee constantly touching Dexter for her stupid amusement.

The Only Redeeming Quality That Is Already Attract.

  1. Dexter is still a tolerable character and his magnetic field did work, until it malfunctioned.
