Panicky Percy is the eleventh episode of the twenty-third series of Thomas & Friends.

Plot

Percy causes confusion and delay by panicking when he thinks Thomas had an accident.

Panicky Qualities

  1. Percy is extremely stupid in this episode as he instantly believes that Thomas has gotten into an accident without any prior indications other than Thomas returning later than usual and getting all the other engines involved.
    • His character's flanderization, first seen in "Day of the Diesels" and Seasons 15 and 16, reemerges in this episode.
  2. The episode primarily focuses on Percy's anxiety over an event that has yet to occur, offering little in terms of plot development.
  3. Percy's panicked screaming is extremely infuriating.
  4. This episode exaggerates the concept of fear and anxiety to a degree that it may come across as disrespectful.
  5. Although it imparts a valuable lesson about avoiding hasty judgments and undue worry, the delivery is somewhat lackluster and contrived.

Relaxed Qualities

  1. It does teach a moral that you shouldn't jump to conclusions or constantly worry too much.
  2. Percy does realize his mistakes and apologizes.
  3. The winter theme is decent.
  4. The imaginative sequence where Percy envisions Thomas tumbling down an icy cliff is both thrilling and impressive.
  5. Despite his wrong jump-in-conclusion and unnecessary panicking , Percy does feel worry about Thomas' status when he's on his job far away.
