Peg + Cat is an American/Canadian animated children's television series based on the children's book "The Chicken Problem", which was published in 2012. The series, which featured the voice acting of Hayley Faith Negrin and Dwayne Hill, was created by Billy Aronson and Jennifer Oxley and produced by Fred Rogers Productions and 9 Story Media Group.
Why The Problem Is Solved
- Great animation that's reminiscent of notebook and graph drawings. Peg even draws with her stick on the fourth wall as if it were graph paper.
- Appealing and well-drawn character designs, especially with Peg.
- The idea of a girl having a talking cat with them solving problems is amazing and pretty original.
- It teaches kids all about math, using simple problems to keep them up with their education, such as fractions, addition, etc.
- The show can even appeal to not just kids, but adults too, as it's very entertaining for them too.
- An extremely catchy theme song played with the ukelele that the viewer can easily sing along to.
- Cat is a fun character and a great comic relief.
- Every voice actor does a good job playing the characters.
- There's even a fun musical number in every episode.
- The "Problem Solved" song.
- It even got a made-for-TV movie called Peg + Cat Save The World.
- Well-made pop culture references. One episode was based on The Twilight Zone.
Qualities That Can't Solved
- Peg can be pretty annoying, especially when she's "totally freaking out".
- Some gross-out humor at times, such as Cat burping.
- The songs can be pretty repetitive, especially the aforementioned "Problem Solved" song.
- Richard's constant whining when there is a problem, even a very small one, can get very irritating.
- The animation, while good, can get choppy at times.
