Before we had Niloya, we had this horrible and poorly CGI animated Turkish cartoon that is so hated by lots of the fans of the Spanish CGI animated 2005 Children's show "Pocoyo".

Pepee is a CGI Turkish animated series created by Ayşe Şule Bilgiç. The series first premiered on TRT Cocuk in June 6, 2008 and it ended in August 20, 2016. It only has 8 seasons and 208 episodes.

Plot

Pepee is a 5 year old boy living with his loving family and friends in endless green fields. During his daily little adventures, Pepee learns shapes, colours, numbers... With his cute little sister Bebee, cousin Shila, grandparents, giraffe and monkey friends, he discovers the emotions and learns how to deal with them.

Bad Qualities

1. First off, this series was a blatant rip-off of the CGI animated 2005 children's cartoon series Pocoyo. Character examples:
   • Pepee is this of the main titular character of the 2005 CGI TV series.
   • Zulu is this of Elly. Due to both characters having pink colors, the only difference is that Zulu is a giraffe whereas Elly is a elephant.
2. The theme song in the show for the first season is unbearable to listen to.
3. Terrible and poorly made background designs. One example:
   • The background of Pepee's house outside.
4. Horrendous and poorly done CGI animation for a Turkish children's show, even for 2008 standards.
5. The 2nd episode of the series, there was a scene where Pepee cries when he broke his arm for riding his bike, which can be hurtful, due to Yagiz Alp Simsek actually crying during recording.
6. Ugly and poorly made CGI characters. Especially the designs of Pepee and his family.
7. The series can have bad morals sometimes, just like Angelina Ballerina, Caillou and Peppa Pig.
8. The other problem with this series is that the CGI animation made in the pilot/first episodes was poorly made and it copied the main plot of Pocoyo to the point where Zinkia actually sued Dusyeri for copyright infringement in 2013.
9. Very annoying songs for the episodes.

Good Qualities

1. The CGI animation have improved in seasons 5-8.
2. The characters designs in the show also have been improved in seasons 5-8, possibly due to the lawsuit made by Zinkia themselves.
3. Very well-done logo for the series.
4. The show can also have good lessons like sharing, loving, caring about your friends, and more.
5. Some likable characters like Shila, Bebee, Bibii, Tutuu, Duduu, Mimii, Zezee and Maymus as well as his parents and grandparents.

Reception

• The series received mixed-to-negative reviews. It currently holds a 59% on Google and a 5.7/10 on IMDb.
