Why This Show Isn't Your Good Friend
- To get the elephant out of the room, this show is a shameless rip-off of Sesame Street, another children's show that was released on November 10, 1969. Many people noticed this and has garnered some controversy surrounding this knockoff.
- The puppets may be considered terrifying and uncanny to younger viewers, however, we're not saying that only kids got scared by this. Some adults might be creeped out by the designs of the puppets as well, especially Maynard, an old man who likes the color blue.
- For something so low budget, the acting is abysmal and might make you cringe just by looking at it.
- The puppets voice-acting is annoying and gets on your nerves.
- The camera quality, for something that was made in the 1980s, is low budget and awful when compared to other shows, such as Sesame Street.
- The puppetry is sloppy and poorly done, just like everything else wrong with this show.
Redeeming Qualities
- Why some may find the scarecrow segment scary for younger viewers, you can tell it was made with actual talent, unlike the other puppet segments.
Reception
Many critics and fans of Sesame Street panned this show, calling it "the weirdest yet dreadful series ever in the history of children's entertainment" Said by one viewer. As of March 2023, the series holds a 3.6/10 rating on IMDb and a 24% rating on Google.
Trivia
