Piano is a segment in the Episode Snoopy’s Football Career and is the third segment in that episode.
Summary
Lucy grows tired of Schroeder “ignoring her” and throws his piano into the Kite-Eating Tree.
Why This Episode Should be Thrown up The Tree
- To get the cat out of the bag, Lucy is at her absolute worst here as she takes her love for Schroeder way too far by throwing his piano up the kite-eating tree just so he can “pay attention to her”.
- Not only that, but she even kicked his piano twice before putting up a tree. Which is very mean-spirted even if she did do something a lot more cruel later on.
- As stated above, this is a torture episode for Schroeder as his piano gets stolen by Lucy and thrown up The Kite Eating Tree. In fact, it makes you wonder why Schroeder even tolerates her, especially when she is willing to go to length to make him love her.
- The title of the segment is extremely week as not only is it unoriginal, but this title has also been used three times before. Which explains why the title of the page has "Snoopy’s Football Career" in brackets.
- A few things in the episode make no sense, such as when Lucy says to Schroeder “I'm sick and tired of the way you ignore me!” even though just moments ago he was talking directly to her. So how would that be ignoring her?
- Lucy even says to Linus that “He never pays any attention to me! This will teach him a lesson”, as if that excuses her from any wrongdoing despite the fact that she is unquestionably the bad guy here. It’s to the point where people have called her a complete psychopath in this story.
- Snoopy is useless here as when he climbs the tree to get it down. He himself falls down unable to grab the piano.
- In what is arguably the worst scene in the episode, Lucy says to herself “Maybe I should have thrown him into the tree” Which is extremely mean spirited as Lucy literally talked about killing Schroeder just because he doesn’t love her!
- And through all of this, Lucy gets very little consequences for what she did to Schroeder and never apologizes for doing what she did. Sure, Schroder did pull the piano from her at the end. But she should have gotten a lot more repercussions than that.

- Schroeder, Charlie Brown and Linus are all likable characters, Linus is Especially likable as he even scolds her older sister for what she did to Schroeder.
