Why It's Genius

  1. The orchestral music is great. In fact, all the music is great.
  2. The show is very educational, and does a good job at teaching kids about physics, astronomy, and parts of the brain.
  3. The show isn't afraid to talk about mature themes, like sexual harassment or being addicted to smoking.
  4. Although they are outdated now, the pop culture references are pretty good.
  5. The humor is awesome, even when it's pretty dark.
  6. The voice acting of Rob Paulsen and Maurice LaMarche fits the characters very well.
  7. Pinky's stupidity can make for some pretty funny moments.
  8. The concept is pretty creative. It's not very often you get a cartoon about animals being tested on!
  9. Plenty of adult jokes for the adults to enjoy.
  10. The writing is very clever.
  11. The Christmas special is very amazing.
  12. The series finale "Star Warners", crossover with Animaniacs characters, as well some of Freakazoid! characters that appearing in cameo, is awesome.
  13. The show stands out to come out to be one of the best Steven Spielberg shows.
  14. NARF!

Bad Qualities

  1. A bit too much adult humor for a kids' show.
  2. Some dated references.
  3. When the show aired on Nickelodeon, the intro had the 1984 Nickelodeon logo shoehorned everywhere around the intro.

Trivia

  • The show has aired on both of WB's main competitors, Nickelodeon and Jetix.

Reception

Pinky and the Brain got a 7.8/10 on IMDB.
