Power Rangers Turbo is an American television series and the fifth season of the Power Rangers franchise. The show was prefaced with the franchise's second film, Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie. As with its predecessors, Power Rangers Turbo is based on one of the entries of the Super Sentai series; in Turbo's case, the source of the series is Gekisou Sentai Carranger. The series introduced a child actor as the new Blue Ranger, and featured the departure of the long-running characters Zordon and Alpha 5, as well the veteran team of Rangers and introduced four new characters to take the place of the veteran Rangers.

Why It Shifts into Turbo

  1. Great costume designs from its original Super Sentai series Gekisou Sentai Carranger.
  2. Funny villains such as Divatox, Elgar and Porto.
  3. Awesome theme song.
  4. "Chase Into Space" is a great finale that takes leads into the events of In Space.
  5. Some funny moments.
  6. Justin, despite being a little kid, is a competent fighter and never acts all bratty and annoying like most little kids are.
  7. Cool designs for the Zords.
  8. Very successful toy sales.
  9. Compared to the film Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, it was a major improvement.
    • Speaking of which, this was also the first and only Power Rangers season that takes place after the events of the movie.
  10. The replacement rangers really shine:
    • Theodore Jay Jarvis Johnson, or "T.J." to his friends, proves himself as the leader by always thinking with his head instead of his fists and feet.
    • Cassie Chan carries a lot of dry wit while aspiring to be a singer.
    • Carlos Vallerte is very clumsy but kind-hearted. He also starts off as a glory hog on the Soccer team that Adam coaches but begins to learn about teamwork and it helps him before becoming a Ranger.
    • Ashley Hammond has a very good heart as the cheerleader of the team and is a pretty good mechanic to boot.

Bad Qualities

  1. One of the reasons why a number of people consider this is as one of the weakest seasons of Power Rangers (one that nearly led to the demise of the franchise) is the huge amount of changes made throughout the series, first with Justin replacing Rocky, then with the departure of Zordon and Alpha 5, and finally with the rest of the main cast halfway through the season. For some longtime Power Rangers fans, they weren't too happy with all the changes being made. Thankfully, In Space managed to regain its viewers, and Saban eventually learned their lesson in terms of cast replacements, as the seasons after the Zordon era would consist of a fresh new team almost each year.
  2. Despite being one of the funniest villains in the franchise, Divatox can be annoying at times depending on the scene or the episode itself.
  3. Some bad episodes like "Bicycle Built for the Blues", "The Spirit of the Woods", "The Song of Confusion" and the infamous "Trouble by the Slice".
  4. The monster names can be awkward at times.
  5. The first half of the season was a little weak.
  6. Justin Stewart, despite being awesome, was annoying and unlikeable at times. (Depending on your point of view.)
  7. Despite being a decent season, this season is arguably considered to be the weakest season of the Zordon era.
  8. This season had a bad movie starter
