Punch-Out!! is a video game by Nintendo released for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It is the third game in the series. It was originally released as a limited edition cartridge that was exclusive of Japan, it was then re-released as a regular cartridge.

Why It Punches Out Everything In Its Way

  1. Good sound design; all the hit sounds, star-punching, the music, everything is great.
  2. Little Mac now looks better than in the Arcade games.
  3. The fighting mechanics work well, making the game fairly difficult.
  4. The characters are well done, their designs look cool, and they are all unique.
  5. The round intermission screen quotes are good because they can give you tips, or can be funny, such as "Join the Nintendo fun club!" by Doc Louis.
  6. The game has Mario as the referee, which is something unexpected and interesting to see.
  7. The final fight of the game is against Mike Tyson himself, which is very cool.
  8. The game gives codes for continuing in a certain part, making it more fair and fun.

"Help Me, Doc!" Qualities

  1. In 1990, due to license expiration, they had to re-release the game without Mike Tyson, and instead replace with a generic fighter called "Mr. Dream."
  2. The code to the Mike Tyson fight is never given in-game.
  3. Some characters from the Arcade games are missing.
    • Kid Quick.
    • Pizza Pasta.
    • Dragon Chan.
  4. There are 2 fights against Piston Honda and Bald Bull, while their second fight is harder than the first, it is still kinda repetitive.
