Rainbow Bubblegem (Korean: 레인보우 버블젬; Chinese: 我的同学是美人鱼) is a South Korean-Chinese magical girl CGI-animated television series produced by Campfire Aniworks and EBS in South Korea and co-produced by Tencent Video and Live Fun in China.

Why it Rocks

1. The Theme of Magical Girls with Mermaid with Kids in size is good idea, even this show is rip-off of Mermaid Melody Pichi-Pichi
2. The CGI is top notch, thanks to Unreal Engine, the software not only for making games, but also making for Animation.
3. The action scene is also top notch.
4. The designs characters is also very cute and the paws are very cute, too.
   • Also, the characters has different personality, such as Blue Sapphire which is strong but also too excessive for competitive, Green Leaf was a smart girl, Orange Amber was so optimistic, but also so emotional when she getting accident.
5. The plot however is good, while half of them are just filler, there has some episode that has more darker in terms of the plot, like example Indigo Keen story is very tragic.
6. Black Diamond is considered one of the good villains. This villains has tragic backstory about Black Diamond has been manipulate with alex after alex want to catch the Mermaid to becomes a trophies or something and Black Diamond must be revenge for the human and mermaids.
7. The transformation are also awesome too, with the music is really banger for fanservice of Magical Girls.
8. There is some interesting features in these shows:
   • The paws will be stop time to battling against blob, a devil forces created by Black Diamond.
   • If she beat the blob, they're getting a gem to rank up into princesses. While all of them are not reaching it to the queen, she still to fight against them in the next season.
9. The voice actor is good even for the Indonesian dub.
10. The theme song while some of them are forgettable, it's still catchy to hearing it.

Bad Qualities

1. While the plot is good, half of them are just filler, making the pacing is really slow to get through.
2. Some of them are calling the rip-off of Mermaid Melody Pichi-Pichi due to the Magical Girls with Mermaid theme.
3. Some of the episode are bad like Episode 16.
4. While the characters are likeable, there are some characters can be unlikable, like example Ruby Red, she's was arrogant but she's beautiful.
5. While the transformation are awesome, it's getting repetitive very quickly with the same scene over and over again.
6. The shows ending in the cliffhanger.
   • Thankfully, the studio says that promising to the working for new season in the future.
