Synopsis

Robin starts performing magic tricks after seeing the Amazing Mumbo Jumbo, much to the delight of the other Titans, excluding Raven, who warns Robin that doing lame magic tricks will upset the Magic God.

Why It's Not Real Magic

  1. The main driving force of the plot is mainly what brings it down because Robin becomes a magician because he was an inspired by a supervillain, Mumbo Jumbo. It’s really bad to be inspired by a supervillain!
  2. The beginning is very facepalming because the Teen Titans were called to fight Mumbo Jumbo but once they learn that he’s really just doing magic tricks, they entertain him. They watch him, cheer, give him all their money, and squeal like excited toddlers.
  3. The next morning, Robin thinks Mumbo Jumbo is so cool, he became a magician like him. That is awful because being inspired by a supervillain is bad, supervillains are evil do very horrific things to achieve a goal, such as manipulating people to do their deeds (Kilgrave and Hawkmoth), killing half the universe (Thanos), killing people because you don’t want them to talk bad about their mother and want to become mayor (Kingpin), using your tech to manipulate the hero because you’re jealous of their mentor (Mysterio), etc. It’s bad to be inspired by a supervillain.
  4. The Titans cheer at Robin’s magic tricks while Raven complains about Robin, the Titans just say she’s a downer (though she does has a point).
    • This then leads to a montage of Raven saying she hates everything. The whole montage is just plain stupid, especially the scene where Raven is poorly photoshopped in a stock image of a pile of live action cats.
    • There‘s a bit where Beast Boy is laying in Raven's bed in his underwear, seducing her and likely wanting to have sex with her. This bit angered many parents and it’s questionable how it got passed the censors. At least SpongeBob has more class than this!
  5. Robin drowns himself because he was doing the water magic trick, the Titans cheer when Raven rescues him. She luckily calls him out on this.
  6. The Magic God is finally angered and what he does is stupid because he just sends giant rabbits on Earth that are not at the very least threatening.
  7. Half-bad ending: The Magic God summons Robin and Raven but it’s revealed he’s a big manchild. He was really angered because Raven kept hating on Robin’s dream of becoming a magician.

Magic Qualities

  1. Raven is very likable because though she may be being negative, she did have a point. She didn’t like how the Titans were entertaining a supervillain (who she arrests) and how Robin was actually inspired by a supervillain too.
  2. Half-good ending: Raven decides to be more open-minded and positive.
