Richard Rabbit Comes to Play is the 8th episode of Season 3 and the 112th episode overall of Peppa Pig.
Plot
Peppa isn't too pleased when Richard Rabbit comes round to their house and ruins her game with George. When Peppa invites Suzy round, things get a bit too problematic indeed. The toddlers want to play their games, while the girls want to play theirs.
Why It Doesn’t Come to Play
- Peppa and Suzy are very unlikable in this episode, and it's no joke. They force George and Richard to stop playing what they want, which makes them (especially Peppa) seem like spoiled brats who want to boss everyone around.
- Also, Peppa and Suzy are forcing them to stop playing because it's noisy, but they could easily play in another room in the house or just let them play at that time, which causes a plot hole
- Although George and Richard are likable, they are making a lot of noise, which causes the entire episode.
- The episode has some errors:
- Richard’s toy dinosaur is purple in this episode, when it should’ve been red. In fact, his toy dinosaur swapped colors with George’s Brontosaurus that he got in George's Birthday.
- When George and Richard cry, Richard can be heard sobbing, but he is still shown to be crying.
- Peppa and Suzy go so far as to make George and Richard cry, no joke! They are unrepentant, which makes them sociopaths.
- Peppa and Suzy do not receive punishment, in fact they are rewarded by Peppa's parents by letting them jump in muddy puddles.
- It's another episode of torture for George due to Peppa's friend coming home, which makes this episode feel like a copy of "Best Friend."
Redeeming Qualities
- George and Richard are likable, despite making a lot of noise.
- The start was decent until Peppa complained about George and Richard playing. The ending was also decent, despite Peppa and Suzy not apologizing or receiving punishment.
- Here is one of the few times that George's crying is actually understandable.
