Why It Rocks
- This is a spin-offs, where your play as a girl. And yes, it set in the Kunio-kun universe, despite it ignoring the continuity.
- Great looking graphics that reminiscing to the 16-bit counterpart with good animation.
- The FMV is also good and the style is reminiscing to the anime.
- Decent story, despite being bland.
- Fun and challenging gameplay, even for 2-player local.
- Tight controls as usual of beat'em up games.
- Challenging boss fight design, each bosses has a pattern to dodged, not too easy or too hard.
- You can unlock the moves by buying this on Dojo, each moves have different combination attack to do so.
- You can recruit the enemies to making things easier whenever the enemies is attack you.
- You can buy uniform, etc. To better upgrades, like better damage, better skill, or better defense.
- There's a tons of easter egg, like example in mobile version, there's the Hime shop, and you will be meeting with Crunchyroll characters, Hime-chan.
- There's a quest to do so, each quest certain mission within the story.
- Great voice actor, especially for Japanese dubs.
- You can unlock the Kunio character after you complete the game once, making more replay value.
Bad Qualities
- As usual for Beat 'em up game, the game can be repetitive.
- Some sections are too hard to get through.
- Sometimes, the story is kinda bland.
- Getting the money to buy something is quite grinding and tiresome. And worse, if you get game over, you lost all of your money.
- Some bosses can be hard and very tough to complete.
- The game has a backtracking, so you need completed each of one to level up, which can be tedious.
- The mobile version is considered the weakest port due to amount of frame-rate drops and technical issues even for higher phone.
- Worse is the mobile version is required the Crunchyroll subscription. Yes, there's a new Crunchyroll Game Vault and this subscription is killing the underrated games that had been existing on App Store and Google Play for a long time, such as Behind the Frame and Crypt of the Necrodancer that will be delisting from existence. Keep in mind, this could be a problem about piracy and people just ignore this service with piracy websites as a replacement.
