Rugrats: Studio Tour is a video game based on the Nickelodeon animated series Rugrats. It as developed by n-Space and published by THQ for the PlayStation in 1999.
Overview
The game revolves around the babies getting lost while in a studio tour with their families. Dil ends up going beyond a high-tech security door, and the babies have to play through various minigames to get keys to unlock the door to get Dil back.
Why It Sucks
- Many elements are directly recycled from Rugrats: Search for Reptar.
- The title screen is extremely lazy, consisting of only a copy of the game's cover art.
- Angelica is somehow even more annoying than she was in Rugrats: Totally Angelica.
- Poor controls.
- To get keys, you need to get enough Reptar Bars in the minigames. And every time you collect a bar, an annoying ”roar!!” sound effect plays.
- The cutscenes are badly animated. It’s like they were trying to make something less horrific than FMV cutscenes, but then failed badly.
- Some of the minigames have camera problems.

- After you open the door that Dil went through, you are greeted with another door. This one has 25 keyholes, and only one of them works. This part relies entirely on random luck.
Redeeming Qualities
- Good soundtrack.
- A fun amount of dialogue from the characters.
- As a side note, this is the only Rugrats video game to have the entire correct cast (this was in 1999, before Kimi was introduced), as all others have at least one actor different. For example, in Royal Ransom, Chuckie is voiced by Candi Milo instead of Christine Cavanaugh or Nancy Cartwright.
- Treasure Hunt is a surprisingly good minigame.
