Sally Bollywood: Super Detective is a French-Australian flash-animated children's TV series that first released in October 26, 2009. And it's final episode premiered in December 18, 2013. The series was created by Emanuelle Boutet.

Plot

Sally and her best friend Doowee McAdam generally investigate cases brought to them by their schoolmates by travelling around their local neighbourhood, with Sally using her skills of deduction and Doowee using technology he invents.

"Failed Investigation" Qualities

  1. Very cheap and lazy flash-animation as if it looks worse than other two terrible French cartoons like Eliot Kid or My Life Me.
    • In later seasons, it got worse as the movements are now stiffer and robotic.
  2. Some episodes can teach kids lots of bad morals:
    • "The Party" teaches kids to rob anything into a party while uninvited dressed as anything.
    • "The Killer Curry" teaches kids to break your friends' homework to find a very incredible life.
    • "The Delayed Action Chilli Pepper" teaches kids that chilli peppers don't hurt your stomach.
    • And more....
  3. Very annoying theme song as if it doesn't matter if the protagonists are likeable or not. Maybe, it's because they have misleading personalities.
  4. The title of the show is completely lazy and unoriginal as if nobody asked for a kids' cartoon made in France with too many bad morals in them.
  5. Doowee McAdam, despite him being a boy genius, he can fail into serious accidents at times.
  6. Notable character developments that overuse too many elements from other detective solving shows.
  7. Unlike seasons 1 & 2 of Star Vs. the Forces of Evil, this show doesn't matter if it's gone downhill at times.
  8. Some episodes are mediocre, bad or have some flaws, such as:
    • "Mr. Big Returns"
    • "Doowee's Luck Runs Out"
    • "Party Pooper"

"The SBI Rules" Qualities

  1. Some episodes can teach kids too many good morals at times.
  2. The games in the official Toggo website around Germany are completely helpful for kids to play.
  3. Despite the theme song being annoying, it can also be very catchy at times.
  4. Many good/decent episodes, such as:
    • "Animal Crackers".
    • "The Champion".
    • "Sally's Pen Pal".
    • "Pyjama Party".
  5. It can also have good morals for younger viewers such as:
    • Not talking with strangers.
    • Waiting until future times for the events you want to go.
    • Making exercise everyday.

Reception

  • Despite the series having a 93% on Google, it also had mixed-to-negative reviews having a 5.9/10 on IMDb.

Trivia

  • Sally Bollywood's design is an inspiration to the design of Raven from the 2003 American TV Series "Teen Titans".
  • Doowee McAdam's personality is a complete inspiration to Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory.
  • There was going to be a latin-american spanish dub of that show. But people decided to cancel it for some reason.
  • The series was popular in Brazil and the United States.
