Save Mojo is the first half of the fourth episode in the fifth season of The Powerpuff Girls.

Plot

When the Powerpuff Girls try to stop Mojo Jojo from doing a crime, an animal activist group comes to his rescue protesting that the Girls can't harm him because he is an endangered animal.

Why It Can't Be Saved From Feeling Oppressed

  1. The animal activist group is very unlikable for the most of the episode, as they stop the girls from stopping Mojo Jojo because apparently, he is a defenseless animal when really, he's a criminal mastermind. Somehow, they're okay with Mojo Jojo committing crimes and doing bad in the city, to the point where he even steals Professor Utonium's computer and smashes the girls' house!
  2. As mentioned in WIS#1, it's another Powerpuff Girls torture episode mainly due to them getting stopped by the activist group for stopping Mojo Jojo's wrongdoings.
    • Speaking of which, the scenes where the activists stop The Powerpuff Girls can get repetitive.
  3. The Mayor is also unlikable and dumb as he didn't seem to believe when the girls said about the activist group letting Mojo Jojo commit crimes to the point where he didn't even know that he could change the law.
  4. As the narrator pointed out, Mojo Jojo's disguise at the start is pretty pathetic and still recognizable.
  5. On top of the activist group being unlikable, they're also generic hippie stereotypes.
    • Hippie music also unnecessarily plays when the girls and activists argue.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. The girls, along with Professor Utonium, are still likable characters, as they try to stop Mojo Jojo from committing lots of crimes.
  2. Good Ending: When the girls find a loophole in the law, they tell the activists about that loophole. Then, the hippies talk to Mojo Jojo and they, along with the girls, say that they're going to take Mojo home, and so, he gets put in a cage and gets sent to an island full of monkeys. He then gets his comeuppance when pushing the baby monkeys with an angry gorilla roaring at him.
