Sex Kitten is a series of adult point-and-click flash games that were originally released on Newgrounds and developed by members of the site Forkheads.net. The first game, Sex Kitten Sim-Date was first released in 2004 and has since spawned many sequels.

Overview

The plot varies in each game, but they always revolve around the protagonist who is the boyfriend of a catgirl named Slutty McSlut. They both get involved in various situations and adventures that require the player to go on a quest to find various items. Along his way he encounters various characters who ask him to answer a question in exchange for an item or money, and if the player answers correctly, they are rewarded with the item and an NSFW artwork.

Why They're Intentionally Very Naughty Kittens

  1. The plot and storylines are all extremely nonsensical that they can only be seen to be explained. Just take a look at the first game alone and let that set the bar for what comes later.
  2. They look and play as if they were made with Microsoft PowerPoint.
  3. Asset flipping: The NSFW artworks, most of the character sprites, and backgrounds are all stolen from the internet, games, and animes. Some backgrounds are taken from games that don't even fit the theme of the series such as Half-Life 2 and Fallout 3. The later games though have most of the artwork being original.
  4. False advertising. Some of the games have "sim date" in the title which would make you think it would be a dating simulator, only to play it and realize it has no aspects of dating in it other than sexual content.
  5. The developers skipped over Sex Kitten Sim-Date 8 because they say "it was already being worked on by someone else", yet they still released Sex Kitten Sim-Date 9 first, making it completely out of order.
  6. Overuse of profanity which can get annoying.
  7. The gameplay hardly ever changes. It is always answering random trivia questions, getting an NSFW artwork as a reward and an item or money, selling the item or buying something else you need for the story, until you get to the end. The later games try to improve on this though by making the player be able to explore more and have larger worlds.
  8. The trivia questions that are asked can be easily googled.
  9. As the later games get bigger, it gets more confusing and you get can get lost easily because there is no map of any kind to know where you are.
  10. Inconsistency. In Sex Kitten RPG 1 and 2, the player is able to move around freely in a top down view like a traditional RPG, yet Sex Kitten Sim-Date 5 and Sex Kitten: Prison Break still uses this style of gameplay even though the non-RPG games are played from a first-person perspective.
  11. The sprites and graphics from the RPG games are all stolen from RPG Maker.
  12. The arrow you click to proceed through dialogue is too close to the choices for the questions most of the time, causing you to accidently click the wrong answer and loose health. Although this has been fixed in later games.
  13. Though the music ranges from decent to good, it always loops and is usually the only sound in the game which can get annoying. Some games have different music that the player can select though.
  14. Furthermore, some of the music does not really fit the theme of the series, like in Sex Kitten: Prison Break where the song played is "Hallowed Be Thy Name" by Iron Maiden.
  15. Sex Kitten: Insane Asylum was unfinished. In one part, a character hands the player a key but the player does not receive it and is unable to open a door to progress further. The only way to get through this part is to right-click, and then press "forward" from the Flash options menu.
  16. A lot of the NSFW artworks are of pretty low quality.
  17. The NSFW artworks are also reused a lot in different games.
  18. A lot of the characters' names sound outright lame, such as "Slutty McSlut", or another recurring character who is literally named "Australia Science Bitch".
  19. Sex Kitten- Megamart tried to be innovative by introducing mini-games, but these minigames are very hard with most of them involving the player having to click very fast in a short amount of time to fill a quota. The time limit makes and amount of clicks required makes it too challenging.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. There's tons of hilarious jokes and dialogues all throughout the series.
  2. If you're into it, there is tons of NSFW and sexual content for those looking for it to enjoy.
  3. As mentioned above, most of the music is pretty good, having songs from notable artists such as Aphex Twin, The Prodigy, and Bentley Rhythm Race. Sex Kitten: Eastern Rampage! even has the song "Push it to the limit" from Scarface!
  4. The later games are a lot better with the gameplay being improved greatly along with the graphics and artwork being much higher quality and original.
  5. They can offer nostalgia to some, with factors being that some are old Flash games from a different era of the internet, the music used, or the 2000s anime aesthetic that is present all throughout the series.

Trivia

They were originally made to parody bad porn and dating simulator games on Newgrounds at the time. Ironically, two creators of the game, Klacid and TENT had worked on three different dating simulator games prior to Sex Kitten, which were also on Newgrounds.
