"Sharko-Sapiens" (French: Sharko-Magnon) is the twenty-sixth episode from Season 4 of Zig & Sharko.
Plot
Marina brings back from the ice a prehistoric shark which is none other than Sharko's ancestor. Hungry, the latter wants to eat Zig, it really suits Sharko who can finally rest for five minutes and let his ancestor do his job.
Bad Qualities
- It's another 7 minutes torture episode for Zig, as Sharko ancestor always chase him because he is hungry.
- Sharko ancestor, while not a terrible character, is very flawed since his only personality is that he's hungry and also try to eat everything he see, including Marina at the almost end of the episode, which quickly became annoying compared to how Zig try to eat Marina.
- Misleading title card: While it indeed had the forest as an environment, the episode does not focus on vegetable like how they are present, and this could confuse a lot of peoples.
- Zig plan is boring for this episode.
- Zig in the middle of the episode is a bit out of character because rather than trying to save Marina from the prehistoric shark along with Sharko, he rather try to eat her, which made Sharko and the other shark chasing him.
- Sharko ancestor design, while good, is lazy because it is only Sharko with some details added.
- A lot of repetitive scenes, such as when Sharko ancestor chase Zig, in which most of those scenes are 80% identical, which is lazy and boring.
- Bad Ending: Once again, Zig is transformed as an objet at the end for Sharko ancestor, which make the episode even more of a torture episode because of what happen previously.
Good Qualities
- The main characters are still likable.
- Good animation and voice acting as always, in fact it's better than usual.
- Decent soundtrack.
- An episode focused on Sharko ancestor was a good idea but unfortunately it was poorly executed.
- The action scenes, while repetitive, can still be entairtaining.
