Shell-Shocked (Japanese: はだかのエスカルゴン Hadaka no Esukarugon) is the 88th episode of Kirby: Right Back at Ya!.

Plot

King Dedede is wondering what Escargoon looks like without his shell on.

This episode is basically just one of the episodes where its an Escargoon torture episode.
This episode is also infamous for its many inappropriate and unpleasant moments in an anime made for kids, such as the "Naked Escargoon" scene that Dedede thinks. This is likely because Japan has different views on what is acceptable and what is NOT acceptable for a young audience compared to other countries like the United States or Canada.
King Dedede is incredibly unlikeable and completely out of character, the biggest reason is that he's a huge pervert in this episode:
- He broke Escargoon's shell cause he wants to see whats inside it;
- He constantly begged Escargoon to take off his shell;
- The infamous scene where he spies on him changing;
Escargoon's body is pixelated when his shell is off, which is weird.
Very bad writing, such as Escargoon saying "I never felt so violated!" (Yes, he actually says that).
King Dedede never learns his lesson after the battle, and still wants to see what's inside Escargoon's shell.
4Kids ironically decided to dub this episode, despite its mature content.
This episode feels like a fanfic than an actual episode (In the original Japanese version though).

Passable animation.
Escargoon, Tiff, Tuff, Yabui and Kirby are likeable characters.
The episode contains some funny scenes, such as Escargoon trying put on the replacement shells.
The beginning was pleasant, as it felt like a normal Kirby episode.

The English dub of the episode only aired once on television and later became lost media. However, it was later found.
This is the first episode of the anime series where pixelated nudity is shown.
