Smurf Me No Flowers is a Season 2 episode of The Smurfs. It originally aired November 27, 1982 on NBC.

Summary

Lazy tries to get rid of his insomnia problem.

This is likely the most boring episode in the 1980s Smurfs series. The episode feels more like it could go in a sitcom. The lack of villains and dark elements don't help either.
The episode begins with Lazy not being able to sleep in a good spot, even though there are many more places to sleep, such as his bed.
- There is also a nonsensical chase scene with the Smurfs on Lazy's tail for ruining their day of chores, but thankfully, it doesn't drag out for long.
Brainy straight up kisses Lazy, which brings up some...questions.
Papa Smurf's sneezing in one scene sounds very freaky.
There are a lot more goofs in this episode:
- The color of the Smurfs' tails matches their pants, white and Papa with red, respectively.
- The napkin around Greedy's neck is a very light reddish gray color.
Like most episodes in Season 2, the writers aren't credited.
Besides Brainy, the other Smurfs are treated like Butt-Monkeys in the scenes with Lazy, as they get tortured while Lazy enjoys "his final moments".
Papa Smurf is reduced to a minor role for most of the episode, at least until the very end.

Good animation (aside from the errors mentioned above) and voice acting.
The episode has the lesson of "never mistaking death for someone else".
Occasional funny moments.
Papa Smurf tells the other Smurfs that he was referring to Vanity's plant and not Lazy himself, which is understandable considering that Brainy was the one who mistook it for Lazy in the first place.
Brainy gets some comeuppance for his actions during the going away party for Lazy in the middle of the episode.
