SpongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, Pants! is a SpongeBob SquarePants video game that was released in 2005. It is a party game consisting of more than 30 mini-games to play.

Good Qualities

  1. You can choose to play as almost all the SpongeBob cast and you can choose what mode you want to play as them in.
  2. Sandy, Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, and heck, even Plankton actually cooks Krabby Patties in this game which is a nice plot-twist as they can never do that in the actual show.
  3. After the teams work together, the characters switched roles making it fair for a lot each people in the team.
  4. Suprisingly good graphics for a game really 2000's that look like a Pixar film.
  5. If one of the team members are on the same team as their teammate, they get the exact same scores as their teammate.
  6. A lot of unique minigames that could possibly inspire other minigames out there like Epic Minigames from Roblox.
  7. To keep things more fresh, all minigames don't have to be team vs team as some parts of the game such as the racing part is a free for all.
  8. It even has other modes aside from the story modes like the tournament mode in the game and you even get an option to change the music in the game as well.
  9. Bubble Bass actually made an appearance in this game which is cool because those times are pretty rare.
  10. Mr. Krabs and Plankton were actually friends in this game which is pretty rare especially in the cartoon except for like in Friend or Foe or the 2 movies (Sponge Out of Water and Sponge on the Run).
  11. The PS2 version is one of four Nickelodeon titles for that system (along with Tak: The Great Juju Challenge, Nicktoons Unite!, and Barnyard) that utilized the "Nickelodeon Cross-Save" system, in which you get rewards for having save data for the other three games on one Memory Card, which consist of:
    • One game: Bonus action figures of various Nickelodeon characters.
    • Two games: Soundboards of various characters in the game.
    • All three games: A concept art slideshow.
  12. The GBA version is also pretty decent, and unlike most of the SpongeBob games for the platform, it has a battery back-up save instead of a password system.

Bad Qualities

  1. Some of the minigames can get tiresome.
  2. While the GBA version is decent, it has some flaws:
    • The game is a platformer rather than a party game.
    • The game uses the same engine, assets, and a few songs from the GBA port of The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.
    • The characters run way too fast.
    • The game is short, as it can be beaten in less than an hour.
