"SpongeBob in RandomLand" is a SpongeBob SquarePants episode from season 12. In this episode, SpongeBob and Squward undertake a delivery to a notorious town where the laws of logic cease to exist.
Why It's Random (In a Good Way)
- It's a nice sequel and follow-up to "Squidward in Clarinetland" and pays a nice homage to "Porky in Wackyland".
- Great animation as typical for these seasons, with special mention to the surreal visuals in RandomLand.
- Great voice acting as usual.
- Zany and fast-paced humor, including several fourth wall breaks.
- The caterpillar shown at the end of the episode closely resembles Marky from "Oggy and the Cockroaches".
Bad Qualities
- Like its predecessor, "Squidward in Clarinetland", it can be disturbing and frightening for some, especially younger viewwers.
- The Red Mist Squidward scene is pretty creepy and unsettling, but thankfully, it has been omitted in future versions of the episode.
- The episode referencing the "Squidward's Suicide" (also known as "Red Mist") creepypasta feels oddly out of place and inappropriate for a show that is typically light-hearted like this.
