Sunny Bunnies is a Russian/Belarussian/American/Canadian children's computer-animated television series made by Digital Light Studio which originally aired on Disney Channel in Russia on December 6, 2015. The show consists off of five full seasons with 26 episodes each. The sixth season has been launched already and it is airing on YouTube.

The Sunny Bunnies is broadcast in more than 160 countries globally and its YouTube channel launched in April 2016 with management support from DHX-owned online kidsnet WildBrain.

A video game based on this series was released on the Google Play Store and iOS App Store on November 19th, 2018. It was developed by 9th Impact and is titled "Sunny Bunnies: Magic Pop!", On the same day, an episode titled "Magic Pop" was aired. 2 years later, another game titled "Sunny Bunnies: Coloring Book" was released.

While the first three seasons were well received with mixed reception for Season 4, during Season 5 onwards, the show would jump the shark & decline in quality.

Why It's Not Sunny Anymore

  1. The problem with these seasons is that they lack the charm of the first three seasons and to a lesser extent, Season 4. due to the downfall of the CGI animation, flanderization of characters, and some pretty mediocre-to-bad episodes.
  2. The characters (with the exception of Big Boo, S-marty, and The Wolf) have been suffering from flanderization:
    • Turbo went from being a bossy yet very funny and clever leader who is self-confident and caring to the bunnies to an obnoxious bossylike idiotic jerk who cares more about being cool and groovy than being a leader to the other bunnies.
    • Hopper went from being a mischievous, yet apologetic cute bunny to a troublemaking idiot who likes to often do bad stuff to his friends.
    • Iris has gone from a sweet bunny who knows a lot of games and magic, though being insensitive when her bow is taken to a more insensitive overexaggerative baby who is mad over things that aren't a big deal.
    • Shiny has gone from being a sensitive, comforted little cute bunny to a idiotic crybaby who always cries over even the slightest things.
  3. In these seasons, The Wolf is barely used and hasn't made cameos in any episodes of these seasons, making it look like he doesn't wanna do bad stuff to the bunnies anymore.
  4. There is a good number of bad-to-mediocre episodes, such as:
    • "Selfie Mad!"
    • "Peace and Quiet"
    • "Busy Bunny Day"
    • "Hats off to Frisbee"
    • "Little Ones are not Allowed"
    • "Beware of the Dinosaur"
    • "Book of Dreams"
  5. The CGI animation has been downgraded from being well-animated and scripted to bland and lame, which makes the episodes feel more like a Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 or an Xbox Series X and Series S video game.
  6. Big Boo, despite not being flanderized, has become more of a punching bag during these seasons, as he's bossed around and even laughed at by his friends.
  7. The new theme song is even worse than the old one, with the bunnies' singing being more annoying than ever.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. There are still some good episodes, such as:
    • "Coloring Book"
    • "Turbo's Birthday"
    • "Hello S-marty!"
    • "Little Detectives"
  2. Big Boo, S-marty, & The Wolf (despite not appearing that much) are the least flanderized and are still tolerable characters.
  3. There are still some cute moments here and then.
