Super Bowl LVIII: Live from Bikini Bottom is a Nickelodeon alternative simulcast of CBS' Super Bowl LVIII that was broadcast live on February 11, 2024.

Why It Was A Sweet Victory

  1. Like Nickelodeon's other NFL games, it manages to do well taking a Super Bowl simulcast and alternating it to make it look more fun for kids and adults of all ages with fun AR effects.
  2. Tom Kenny (as SpongeBob SquarePants) and Bill Fagerbakke (as Patrick Star) get to reprise their roles as hosts during the simulcast.
    • In addition, nice references to past Season 1 episodes.
  3. Dora the Explorer explaining the penalties during the game is pretty useful for kids who are getting interested in football.
  4. "Sweet Victory" from the SpongeBob SquarePants episode "Band Geeks" is finally played in this version of the game (even before the game has even started!), 5 years after 2019's disaster
    • Speaking of, the CGI remastered version of "Sweet Victory" is brilliant!
  5. Nickelodeon also aired the same Super Bowl commercials as CBS did (however not all of them)
  6. Unlike the previous NFL games Nickelodeon broadcasted, it hasn't detected any F-bombs at all during this Super Bowl.

Bad Qualities

  1. The AR effects, while decent, can look pretty stiff at times.
  2. The halftime show wasn't all that interesting, especially because Nickelodeon aired the same version of it.
