"Super Me" is the fourty-seventh episode in the first season of The Garfield Show.
Plot
Garfield imitates a superhero so that Nermal will reward him with food, but gets caught up with the real superhero and a bank robbery.
Why It Rocks
- The way Garfield makes his superhero costume looks pretty cool, as he uses some of Jon's underwear.
- These funny pop culture references, "I bet Batman doesn't get banana peels out of this mask!" & "Never once happened to Batman, trust me!"
- Watching the montage of Garfield pretending to be Ultra-Powerful Guy was pretty good, despite also being selfish, along with the real Ultra-Powerful Guy saving Garfield.
- For once here, Nermal actually isn't too bad and is actually tolerable aside from the scene where he doesn't share a pizza given by a stranger with Garfield.
- Funny Ending: When Garfield's superhero cape gets stuck in the bank robbers' car, the real Ultra-Powerful Guy comes to the rescue, and it ends with Nermal constantly asking Garfield and the superhero which one is the real Ultra-Powerful Guy.
Bad Qualities
- Nermal not sharing a full pizza he got from a stranger with Garfield was pretty mean-spirited, but right before Garfield gave him an empty packet of chips.
- Although great to watch, Garfield's reason for becoming a superhero kind of isn't explained well, just because he wanted to get lots of food & more attention.
Reception
It holds a rating of 6.8/10 on IMDB.
