Tamaranian Vacation is the 33rd episode of the 2nd season of Teen Titans Go!.

Synopsis

Wondering why Starfire is so sweet and loving, the Teen Titans decide to take a trip to her home planet, Tamaran. However, it turns out the world isn't nearly as innocent and pleasant as they expect, with unbreathable air, alien wars, and ferocious monsters.

Why It Sucks

  1. Firstly, this episode has the same problem as the SpongeBob SquarePants episode, Shuffleboarding. The first half is about the Titans visiting Tamaran and the second half just rehashes the original Teen Titans episode, Betrothed where she has gotten married to end a war but they made it worse and very disgusting.
  2. The episode has a few instances of gross-out, such as Starfire tickling Cyborg's stomach, revealing he's overweight (jokingly looks like Nikocado Avocado) and there are skin folds in his stomach (she opens his suit), the entire wedding scene, and the Titans inside a monster's stomach and Cyborg vomiting after eating a spoiled piece of food he thought was a hotdog.
  3. Missed Opportunity: The Titans never encounter Blackfire when they visit Tamaran.
  4. Poor Grasp of Source Material: Tamaran is completely different from what it is in the original Teen Titans and the DC comics.
  5. The Titans even openly insult Starfire's home planet once again proving they are awful friends.
  6. As stated above, the episode begins to rehash Betrothed and Starfire has to marry her planet's rival king to end a war and it was never stated prior that's what she had to do. The alien king spitting goo and Starfire kissing his mouth is disgusting.
  7. Robin overacts because he wants to be Starfire's groom and he sabotages the wedding and gets the Titans eaten by a giant monster as punishment.
  8. Bad Ending: The Titans learn that Starfire is the only sweet person on her planet, Cyborg pulls out some spoiled food from the monster's stomach because he thought it was a hotdog, he eats it and then vomits. The Titans blow up the monster and go home, why? They hate Starfire's planet and she doesn't get offended when she should.

The Only Redeeming Quality

  1. The Tamarians have very neat designs.
