Plot

A French dog called ZeFronk hosts a cooking show from his doghouse with his assistant, a songbird named Sue, and his sneaky neighbor cat named Dom that always sneaks away snacks that ZeFronk makes, and each episode ends with ZeFronk chasing Dom around the prep counter, triggering Sue to fly away and come through the iris wipe. The first-season episodes ended with a bonus live-action segment in which a parent and child made the meal featured in the episode, although these segments were later removed due to time constraints.

Why It's Tasty Time

  1. It's one of Disney Junior's greatest animation series, and a part of a lot of people's childhoods!
  2. Awesome 2D animation by OddBot Inc. for 2008 standards.
  3. The theme song is awesome, despite having ZeFronk talk during most of the song.
  4. Adorable character designs, especially for ZeFronk and Dom, respectively.
  5. It teaches kids about cooking healthy snacks, etc.
  6. Lots of funny moments such as Dom being chased by ZeFronk at the end of every episode.
  7. Simple, but interesting concept of a French dachshund who acts like a chef.
  8. All episodes are awesome in their own way!
  9. It gained a cult following despite being short-lived.
  10. The creator of Tasty Time with ZeFronk, Ethan Long, also created the Scribbles & Ink book series and TV series.
  11. Great voice acting by Rob Paulsen and Mark Hamil.

Bad Qualities

  1. Despite coming out in 2008, unlike other Disney Jr shows since Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, the show was still in 4:3 instead of 16:9.
  2. The animation can get choppy at times.
  3. Despite the theme song being good, ZeFronk hardly ever sings in the theme song.

Reception

Tasty Time with ZeFronk has received mostly positive reviews and it holds a 7.5/10 on IMDb.
