The Box
You'd think Denise Cassar and Cat Little learned the errors of their ways after the last time they made a Lu and Barnaby focused episode? Not even close. You'd probably be better off watching SpongeBob SquarePants' "Idiot Box" while it's best that this episode should be sent to Abu Dhabi instead...

Plot

Lu and Barnaby can't agree on how to play with a cardboard box.

Why It Should Be Boxed Up

  1. Like Counting Spaghetti, it's another badly written and directed episode by Denise Cassar and Cat Little about Lu and Barnaby's immature argument over a simple problem.
  2. Both Lu and Barnaby are both unlikable here as they fought each other like the toddlers they are over a turn on a box (with Lu wanting to use the box as a pirate ship and Barnaby as a drum).
  3. Lu and Barnaby hogging the box each time one of them steals their turn gets annoying very quickly.
  4. It's a poor example of an episode involving a character and his/her friend(s) finding a box and pretending it to be anything they want it be, unlike SpongeBob SquarePants' episode, "Idiot Box", which executed its plot way better than this episode.
  5. After their fighting over the box causes it to get ripped in half, Lu tells Barnaby she doesn't want to play with him anymore, which is hurtful to hear her say.
  6. When Lu and Barnaby yell "It's a Pirate Ship! Drum!" in front of Shella, instead of shaming the both of them for their squabble over a stupid plain old box, she says that she understands why they acted like spoiled brats, unlike how most episodes of cartoon shows involving two characters arguing over a something not important, and their friend, parent or teacher would call them out for their brawlings at the end. You had one job, you big soft mollusk!
  7. In conclusion, Lu and Barnaby fought over a plain old box, and Shella does NOT scold the both of them for their behavior in this episode, making them both karma houdinis once again. It's a mystery how the two solve their differences only by the help of an adult....unlike how the boys from "South Park" handled their differences without the help of an adult.

The Only Unboxed Quality

  1. An episode concept about finding a cardboard box and pretending it to be anything it could be sounded like a good idea and it would've been good if it didn't had Lu and Barnaby fighting over it.
