"The Devil Wears Rodentia" is the 75th episode the 3rd season of Alvinnn!!! and the Chipmunks.
Plot
When Brittany's passion for fashion and creativity catches Marina Rodentia's eye, the fashion mogul hires her to be her new apprentice in her store to help her come up with the next wave of trends, only for Brittany to find out the job is a total nightmare.
Why It's Devilish Indeed
- It's an 11 minute Brittany torture episode.
- Marina is at her absolute worst as when she hires Brittany to be her mogul, she treats her less of an apprentice and more like a servant. Then, when she show her ideas to Marina, she discards and trashes all of Brittany's concepts, telling her nobody will be willing to take a chance on anything new, showing just how mean she is. And even worse, when Brittany accidentally left her designs at the shop, she comes to find out that Marina is passing off her designs as her own.
- The idea of working for your idol is a good idea on paper, but it was sadly executed poorly.
- Why didn't Brittany tell her sisters or friends about what Marina is putting her through. I mean sure, it would've been embarrassing for her to admit but they would've helped her out.
- Half-Bad Ending: Alvin got hired by Marina Rodentia to be her apprentice, meaning that she did not learn her lesson and therefore, she got off scot-free.
Redeeming Qualities
- Brittany, Jeanette, Eleanor, Alvin, Simon, Theodore and Dave are all likable characters.
- It was satisfying seeing Brittany call out Marina for stealing her designs.
- Half-Good ending: At least Brittany quit her job.
