"The Fugitive" is the 25th episode of Season 3.
Plot
After catching him in the fridge, Oggy "kills" Dee Dee, not realizing that Dee Dee is just playing dead. As a result, Joey and Marky call a crime commissioner to make this even worse for Oggy so that the police will arrest him.
Why It Should Be Arrested
- It is a huge torture episode for Oggy, as the Coackroaches do call the police because Oggy did "kill" Dee Dee, when he was just playing death, we know that they want to do plan to make Oggy's life miserable but here it goes way too far.
- The Coackroaches are horribly unlikable in this episode and are probably at their absolute worst, especially Dee Dee where he fake his death so that the Coackroaches do call the police and get Oggy arrested, to the point that everyone is scared of him.
- Dee Dee did fake his death, which is incredibly wrong on so many level, since if you get caught (in which it will always happen if you do so), you might get a huge punishment or be hated by lot of peoples who did though that you we're death.
- While not terrible, the title card for the original version can be disturbing for younger children, though this isn't the case for the remake title card.
- Plot Hole: In one part of the episode, the coackroaches did called Dee Dee so he make them lauch right in front of the officer, and did he try to watch the phone when Oggy tell him ? No he didn't and ignore this fact, until the end where Dee Dee come saying by to Dee Dee.
- The officer didn't even try to know if Dee Dee is really dead, instead he just look at him and decide to arrest Oggy.
- Semi-bad ending: While Oggy is saved from being in jail, he accidently pushes a old woman and cause destruction because of this and the officer did get hurt, in which he would had probably been in jail for real because of that but fortunately no.
Redeeming Qualities
- Oggy is the only likable character.
- Good music and animation as usual, especially in the remake for the latter.
- Semi-good ending: While Oggy did cause troubles, at least he free and go home without getting arrested.
- The title card for both the original and remake are pretty good and are completely different.
- Some funny moments, such as when Oggy try to escape from being arrested.
Trivia
- In one of an Indian album, The cockroaches ask the commissioner to make Oggy clean the bathrooms of the police station as a punishment. Oggy was named as a junglee man when he wears the mushroom and the businessman who was let by the security check person was named as Mr. Dracula because of his appearance. Oggy also named himself as Kuniya when he dresses as a hippy (Similar to how he named himself as Conde). These happened on 06-1-2021 during an Oggy special album (Oggy's birthday) in 3:15 pm on Cartoon Network.
- This is the only season 3 episode whose title card was completely altered when it was remastered.
