The Great Piggy Bank Robbery is a 1946 Looney Tunes cartoon directed by Bob Clampett and written by Warren Foster. It was one of his final cartoons he directed along with The Big Snooze before he left Warner Brothers studios in 1945.

Why It Rocks

1. Just like several other Bob Clampett cartoons, Clampett's imagination runs extremely wild on this cartoon and the plot is very original.
2. Several funny and clever jokes.
3. The cartoon is a great parody of the Dick Tracy comics.
4. Daffy is extremely hilarious on this cartoon and never fails to make us laugh.
5. A lot of hilarious lines such as "I’m Gonna Rrrrrub Ya Out, See? Rrrrrub Ya Out!".
6. Great animation for it’s time.
7. Wonderful music by Carl Stalling.
8. Excellent pacing and editing.
9. Mel Blanc does a splendid performance as usual.
10. Several cool backgrounds and colors.

The Only Bad Quality

1. This scene of Daffy repetitively shoots down a large gang of criminals with a machine gun in a rapid-fire fashion, resulting them to comically fall down dead like dominoes, while hilarious, could be disturbing, dark and too violent to some viewers, despite not having any blood or gore present.

Reception

• The cartoon was often recalled by many animation historians and fans as one of Bob Clampett's most memorable cartoons ever made and was at #16 in the 50 Greatest Cartoons book.

Trivia

• John Kricfalusi (creator of The Ren and Stimpy Show) said this cartoon was his most favorite cartoon of all time.
