The Jungle Forest Show, formerly known as The Rodfellows, is a Flash-animated web series, made by Dan P. Lyons. It began in 2014 as a friendly rip-off of The Bedfellows, but as years went by, it has gained infamy due to a massive amount of fetish imagery, both in-show and out-of-show, and recent controversies with its creators (See "Controversy"). It is currently distributed by LMNB.

Plot

Finto, Kody, Widenar, Jimmy, Alice, and Hashbrown live in a house in the jungle forest. They have lots of adventures and solve problems like the Jungle Forest Gang.

Why It's Neither a Fellow, Nor Is It from the Jungle Forest

Important note: This show is very controversial for reasoning explained below. No positive pointers/sections will be permitted on this page. You will have to look for the movie's redeeming qualities, and that can be counted as a positive pointer.

1. Awkward, uncaring, cheap, and horridly atrocious Adobe Flash animation that looks like it came from an early to mid-2000s Newgrounds game. Even The Eggs, which has cheap animation, looks slightly better.
2. The characters, especially Finto and Samantha, are rip-offs to the characters from The Bedfellows, which was what the show’s original concept was.
   • In fact, the entire show is a rip-off of The Bedfellows, which didn't help any.
     • Plus, the genders are swapped. Finto is male compared to Fatigue who is female, and Samantha is a female version of Sheen.
3. Quantity Over Quality: This series had 9 seasons, 116 episodes, and lasted for 7 years, and such a length is too long, at least for a web series like this.
   • Editor's Note: It hadn't stopped yet, and back in 2022, the creator announced a continuation of The Rodfellows Improved with Jimmy and Widenar noticeably being grown-up.
4. Boring and slow episodes that have little to no plot, such as the sleeping episodes.
5. Similar to how Tomorrow's Pioneers promoted terrorism to children, the show here promotes pedophilia and zoophilia to children, which is very inappropriate.
   • What's even more disgusting is that the show's creator, Dan P. Lyons, is also a pedophile and zoophile, and he has committed multiple sexual offenses (grooming) to children. He has also shown his feet and private parts to children too.
6. There is a lot of plagiarism and copyright infringement in the series. An example would be that the theme song for The Rodfellows Improved is the Arthur theme song, and the current intro for the series, when it's now The Jungle Forest Show, is a carbon copy/poor parody of the King of the Hill intro.
   • In fact, the show even had Greeny Phatom characters, so, the show was a whole rip-off, from the start.
   • The "Rodfellows/Data Crew" closing logo at the end, starting with Return of the Data Crew, is a rip-off of the Deedle-Dee/Judgemental Films/3 Arts Entertainment closing logo, seen at the end of every King of the Hill episode, as both contain quotes as heard in the episode (similar to Invader Zim and Rugrats). This shows how very unoriginal Dan is with his series.
7. The episode "Gi's Very Big Belly" caused controversy, with the show's creator for its plot, which involves Gi getting very fat, by eating cookies. The same goes with The Chocolate Cookies, another episode, involving Gi getting fat, by eating cookies. Both of these episodes are deleted from Dan's YouTube channel, but, thankfully, that doesn't stop people from archiving the messed-up episodes of this series, as well as one of its spin-offs Dan and his cronies made.
8. Its lackluster movie The Rodfellows Movie is no better and is just as unoriginal.
9. The voice acting is terrible and bland. Some of it is too quiet, and some voices are poorly recorded on a low-quality microphone.
   • What's worse is that the majority of the show previously used text-to-speech voices instead of actual real voice acting!
10. The Jungle Forest Gang is very unlikable and stereotypical.
    • Finto is shown to be a Gary Stu at times and looks like a purple recolor of Reader Rabbit.
    • Kody is the stereotypical fat guy who is obsessed with pizza.
      • Speaking of which, most of the characters in the show, like Gideon, Napoleon, Kody, Ruthie, and even the creator’s self-insert character are extremely fat with huge stomachs. If you thought this was bad enough, then prepare yourself to see the "Controversy" section about why these character designs exist!
    • Finiette sounds way too suggestive when she speaks.
    • Hashbrown has a very annoying lisp.
    • The puppy twins, Jimmy and Widenar, have character designs that rip off that of the titular character from PaRappa the Rapper. And to make matters worse, they have both been involved in sexual activities!
11. The theme song in the current series used from 2018-2021 is badly sung and composed, with the aforementioned current intro, having a poorly made MIDI parody/soundalike of the King of the Hill theme, "Yahoos and Triangles" by The Refreshments.
12. Bland art style. That's all we can say.
13. What makes this even worse than the other reasons explained is that the reason why Dan created the show was that he wanted to groom kids, which is a very disturbing and disgusting reason to create a show!

Controversy

Overall

LMNB was a "company" known for getting into a lot of controversies due to how Dan P. Lyons, Darren A. Nichols, Alexander Mortensen, and Marshall Bourne ran it in the wrong way, as they cause drama towards users who confront them. Meanwhile, the show itself is known for how it had a very dark side, such as the "sleeping" episodes, especially Bedwetting Finniette from The Rodfellows Improved (the second installment of Dan's Rodfellows series), which as the title implies, featuring Jimmy blowing raspberries on Finniette, to the point where it looks like he is having oral sex with her in an attempt to make her laugh and pee on the bed like a child. The sleeping episodes are known for having no context to them as well as having Jimmy and Widenar, the show's two underaged characters, being endangered in these situations. On July 5, 2021, assets of The Jungle Forest Gang and The Data Crew got leaked, and this led to drama occurring, causing the company to shut down.

Daniel Paul Lyons

The controversy began when Dan was exposed for having an inflation fetish in 2018, and he admitted to masturbating to it on a YouTube comment. He also started to make a film called Life of Danny Cat, which contained scenes of polygamy and pedophilia. However, the script for it got leaked, and this caused the people who used to be friends with him to cut ties with him because of the nature of the project. When it was found out that he did this, he sent photos of his private parts to minors. He has also been exposed for being racist, as evidenced by a Google+ post from 2018 where he used an N-word in one of his posts. He also drew porn of the show’s characters outside of social media, such as helping Alexander make a spin-off episode of the show called ''Birth of the 4G1G'', which shows Alex as his anthro wolf self-insert getting it on with the show's female characters, Samantha, Hashbrown, and Finniette. Alongside doing those drawings, he also did rather disgusting belly inflation porn drawings of the show's female characters, including pornographic drawings of Alexander and Samantha "getting it on" against a pink bed, a pedophilic drawing involving Finto "fiddling" with his "violin", Phillop (a minor) licking Ruthie's "Chupa Chups" in a blue bed, and sent the drawings to the minor. Additionally, Dan used to have a FurAffinity account back in 2017 but closed down a year later due to tons of exposure on him. He has now shown photos of his feet to a minor. He and Alex have no longer interacted with Darren as of November 20, 2021.

Darren Alexander Nichols

The biggest problem out of the three LMNB founders. Darren got exposed for grooming minors (just like Dan), especially Glidefan, who was previously friends with Darren, as he (Darren) made porn comics out of Glide, despite him being 15 years old at the time, causing him to lose his temper. He also has been exposed for being racist, faking suicide many times, and, along with Dan and Alex, harassing certain people and driving them to suicide. When he got exposed, he started being very racist and homophobic towards other people and lying many times to cover the controversy, which shows that he couldn't handle criticism. Many things have been revealed about him, as well, as time goes by, such as his email address, the fact that he has a PornHub account, and follows two suspicious accounts, named Tiny Teen City and My 18 Teens, the address of the house where he lives, and (according to Glide) he also tried to make child pornography out of one of the main characters in The Rodfellows, Widenar. He is also shown to dislike the Black Lives Matter movement, as shown in a Discord message where he used racist slurs and insults Dafne in a rather mean, racist, and homophobic way. He also complains to his parents about how people are insulting him when they're just giving him constructive criticism. They reminded him to block the people who hate him, due to how they usually "caused drama" against him, so it could stop them from laughing at him. When it comes to the livestreams on StreamYard, he has a mental breakdown for making vent streams, screaming and crying during the stream in front of people who appear on it, like on November 2021, when he got confronted by his parents, he threw a huge breakdown, which led to his parents taking away all of his stuff and telling him that his behavior would get him into big trouble with them. In August 2021, his old Discord account got suspended for sexual content. He has since cut all ties with Dan and Alex and is now the co-owner of Avelo Breeze Animation. He was rumored to have been finally arrested for his actions on March 2022 by a user named Clarabel Adoring. But this was proven to be false on the same day. In April 2022, Darren got his channel ostracized by YouTube, but it was reinstated on May 12th.

Alexander Vincent Andrew Mortensen

Alexander has severe anger issues and has been known to be very homophobic and racist towards others in the community. He yells and swears a lot in his videos, and we do mean a lot when he’s not working with LMNB. A notable example of his racism goes back to a livestream, where he used an N-word while role-playing as one of The Data Crew characters. Alex has also been known to complain a lot, would constantly complain about how the 2000s and 2010s were better than 2020, and once even threatened to kill himself if the COVID-19 cases in the United States went up to a hundred thousand. Like Darren and Dan, he was also exposed for being a pedophile and a child groomer. He groomed one minor into a polygamous and pedophilic relationship, but the minor is now thankfully safe and escaped from him. Alex is also obsessed with porn and has gotten many people to draw pornography of various characters, some of which involved real and fictional minors, including the ones in The Rodfellows. The most ironic thing about Alex was that he was groomed by Dan at age 16 and is practically his mentor. He and Dan has since cut ties with Darren.

• Gi's Very Big Belly and The Chocolate Cookies - Two episodes that are notorious for focusing on nothing but showcasing the creator's belly inflation fetish to his target audience.
• The Sleeping Episodes - As mentioned in "Controversy", out-of-context filler episodes, where we watch the characters sleep, and that's much it. They gained similar notoriety, like the Gina episodes, especially Bedwetting Finniette, and the fact that Jimmy and Widenar, two of the show's underaged characters, are endangered, in these situations.
• Birth of the 4G1G - The fourth episode of one of its spin-offs, in this case, The TRF Data Crew, that gained infamy, during the ongoing LMNB drama, where it's speculated that this episode was used by its pioneers to masturbate to their female characters.

Related Shows

• COMIX - A series by Alex V.A Mortensen that was produced, when Windows Movie Maker was new at the time. It was harmless at first, but when the series switched, from Microsoft Paint to Adobe Animate, and when he partnered up with Daniel and Darren, and was later adopted as part of, and a spin-off to, the "Rodfellows" series of sorts, that's where things in the series got into a whole new low.
