The episode that heavily insults John F. Kennedy and Pokemon and it has nothing to do with croak dreams.

The New Frontier is the 18th episode of Season 3 and the 70th episode episode overall of Adventure Time.
Plot
Jake wonders if the prophetic croak dream is real. However, Finn is concerned about it.
New Filler Qualities
- The whole episode is 90% filler due to the Croak dream not being the focus of this episode, but rather it is mentioned.
- Misleading Title Card: The Cosmic Owl appears in the title card, hinting that it appears as a major role, but it is seen for 2-3 seconds and never appears again, which is disappointing.
- Major Nitpick: Speaking of the plot, it focuses on Banana Man rather than the croak dream.
- Plot Holes:
- If Jake mentions the croak dream, he could have gone there instead.
- Jake attempts to eat an ice cream pizza-like sandwich, but he refuses and places it on BMO's head. The latter would have destroyed his circuits when placing the melted ice cream instead of surviving.
- Instead of stalking by using bow and arrows, Finn and Jake could have simply knocked on the door and greeted them.
- Using dynamites for rockets can potentially explode rather than launch it, which happens in the third act.
- Croak dream being mentioned is somewhat nonsensical and annoying.
- The Banana Man is rather pointless since what he did is to build a rocket with dynamites, does aerobics, and that's it.
- BMO is also pointless in this episode.
- Finn using a flaming bow to call attention to the Banana Man is dangerous in real life, though it gets backfired by reflecting it.
- To be fair, if he uses a flaming bow to kill Banana Man without a glass helmet, he could die.
- This episode provides epileptic seizures, thus making the viewers' eyes hurt when watching it:
- The Cosmic Owl screeching in the opening scene.
- The dynamites explode causing the screen to flash with red, orange, yellow, and white colors. This includes a slow-motion scene where the glass breaks and Finn makes a grotesque face during it.
- The pointless ending scene with multi-colored rainbow backgrounds and Banana Man dancing frantically.
- Stupid Ending: After Jake saves Finn's life in the underwater caverns, the latter chases the former while the Banana Man knocks himself unconscious, showing that he is ungrateful to poor Jake.
- As mentioned before, Banana Man dancing with flashing rainbow backgrounds after this scene is rather pointless.
- It could have been better to include the Cosmic Owl making a speech to Jake about the croak dream being fulfilled to signify the main plot.
- Overall, this episode feels like a boring random plot shoving the main plot rather than a legit episode, thus making it a huge wasted potential of an otherwise good show.
- Jake is very unlikable in the episode as he tries to get himself killed in multiple situations just because he feels that it is destiny for him to die in the way that the croak dream he had showed him and he tried to force Finn to let him kill himself without taking into account Finn’s feelings and concerns. This makes Jake look like a religious nut job.
Good Qualities
- The opening scene and the scene where Jake attempts to save Finn at least show the actual plot rather than the side plot.
- Finn and Jake are likable characters.
- The title card looks good.
