The Peanut Butter Kid is the eleventh episode of the fourteenth season of Family Guy.

Plot

After the Griffin family's bank account begins to run dry, Peter and Lois have Stewie star in a peanut butter commercial. Peter and Lois soon start getting hooked on making Stewie a child star, which causes Brian to be concerned about their motives.

Why It Deserves No Peanut Butter

  1. Peter and Lois are at their absolute worst here as they use Stewie in commercials just so they can earn a lot of money to use to buy stuff instead of saving the money for his college funds.
  2. This episode is an incredibly harsh Stewie torture episode since Peter and Lois keep mistreating Stewie and scolding him whenever he messes up.
  3. During the first half, Peter Griffin steals Purple Hearts from dead soldiers, an iPad, an engagement ring, a family locket, and a pair of sunglasses and doesn’t get punished for it.
  4. Peter gives Stewie an energy drug that includes cocaine.
  5. Some bad attempts at jokes such as the cutaway gag with Peter's great aunt and Peter trying to make himself vomit on the White House.
  6. A disturbing scene of Stewie bleeding from the eye.
  7. Peter mentions that he and the rest of the Griffins cyberbullied a girl to death.
  8. Half-bad ending: The ending goes to a cutaway gag of future Stewie who's a bodybuilder as well as a drug addict.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Stewie, Brian, Meg, Chris, Quagmire, Joe, and Bonnie are all still likable characters in this episode, and Brian, Meg, Quagmire, and Bonnie aren’t flanderized like they usually are.
  2. A few funny moments, such as Peter putting two metal detectors together and ending up in the middle of nowhere, Stewie pretending to be Brian while eating peanut butter, and the Godzilla and Haiti cutaway gag.
  3. Peter somewhat got comeuppance when he got beaten up by Chris when the latter touched him.
  4. Half-good ending: Peter and Lois apologize to Stewie for mistreating him and decide to no longer have Stewie as an actor.
