The Price Is Right: 2010 Edition is the updated version of The Price Is Right 2008 game. It was developed by Ludia and released by Ubisoft on September 22, 2009, and on PlayStation 3 through PlayStation Network on May 18, 2010. Currently this is the last The Price Is Right game released for PC and Nintendo DS, as the next game, The Price Is Right Decades, was released only for PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, Android and iOS.

Why The Price Is Wrong Again

  1. Like the previous The Price Is Right PC game and most Ludia-developed PC games of that period, it runs only in the resolution of 800 by 600 pixels and has no widescreen support, which is totally unacceptable for 2009 standards. And the screen resolution can't be even changed in Options, leaving the only option to play the game in widescreen by emulating the game on Dolphin Emulator or RPCS3.
  2. Neither Bob Barker nor Drew Carey (for exception of bonus videos) is nowhere to be seen. Instead, there is a voiceover of the show's announcer Rich Fields.
  3. Bad graphics that look like an PlayStation 2/GameCube game.
  4. Limited amount of play modes: you can play only as single player in 3 Strikes and Classic modes, or multiplayer with 2-4 players.
  5. The big door on the game splash screen and One Bid/Pricing Game/Showcase Showdown/Showcase loading screen features 10 panels on the door, unlike the original show, which has 8 panels on each door.
  6. This game is based on the badly received seasons 36-38 era.
  7. This game still has the 1972-2007 theme song, despite the new theme song was adopted in 2007.
  8. The DS version has the 17 pricing games, compared to 29 on the PC and Wii.
  9. The eggcrate screen digits in the showcase look like it's not the original. Also the fonts in pricing games are different compared to the original show's versions.
  10. On iOS version, the Contestant's Row has not been sized properly for the iPhone screen. There is a column of blank white on the right side of the screen.
  11. The PS3 version has long loading times: it takes 10-15 seconds for the game to load.
  12. Audio voiceover for an items often cuts off on the mid-word.
  13. When you exit the game from the main screen in the PC version, it just exits to the Windows desktop without confirmation.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. This game still features an innovative 3 Strikes mode, which is the endless play mode until the player gets 3 strikes for losing in Contestants' Row.
  2. The PC and Wii versions feature 29 favorite pricing games, 13 of them are new.
  3. The DS version features an exclusive Dice Game pricing game. The PC and Wii versions also feature 13 exclusive pricing games, like Money Game, Push Over, Race Game, Grocery Game, etc.
  4. The PC and Wii versions feature 32 bonus videos that can be unlocked for winning One Bid, pricing games, Showcase Showdown and Showcase. They represent some fond memories of the game show's past, but you don't need to stick around long enough to unlock everything.
  5. Fixed an issue that caused to get a strike for losing a Showcase Showdown in 3 Strikes mode.
