Plot

Eric and the gang compete in the Running of the Trolls to fight against the trolls; however, Eric befriended Gob the troll only to show rivalry.

Why It Deserves To Get Burned By a Dragon

  1. This episode's concept is dangerous since people and trolls are known as enemies instead of friends.
    • Granted, there are other shows that people and trolls are known for conflicts, however, they manage to handle their friendships well such as Sofia the First and Courage the Cowardly Dog.
  2. At the opening scene, Trevor eats his own fart during his and Eric's troll chant, saying "I've gone gas!".
  3. Flem playing drums is only a filler, once a troll, named Gob told Kitty and Trevor about his sibling.
  4. There are some mean-spirited moments in this episode:
    • Trevor uses a tazer stick on Eric, causing him to scream in shock.
    • Flem uses his cane to whack Kitty several times, despite the latter wanting to hug him for being hurt.
    • When Gob grabs Trevor, the latter farts on the stove, causing Swell Burger to explode and the kids to send them flying.
    • The entire scene with Eric and Gob competing in a one-on-one match, despite being a decent scene.
    • The ending, where the fire-breathing dragons destroy everyone in Splittsboro because the trolls become stone when the sun spews light.
  5. Idiot Move: When Eric asks Gob about seeing any trolls, the latter reminds him that they are in the sewers, causing the other kids to enter and get disgusted.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. The kids are likable in this episode. Additionally, Gob becomes likable in the second half, until he competes Eric.
  2. There is a scene where Eric befriended Gob, which is a nice touch until it backfires.
  3. The Eric vs. Gob scene is the only scene that is good.
