The Scarlet Pumpernickel is a 1950 Looney Tunes cartoon starring Daffy Duck directed by Chuck Jones and written by Mike Maltese. The cartoon is parody of The Scarlet Pimpernel and was voted #31 in the 50 Greatest Cartoons book.

Why It Rocks

1. The cartoon is notable for the largest cast and amount of Looney Tunes characters during the Golden age.
2. Not only does Daffy Duck appear, but Porky, Sylvester, Elmer Fudd, Melissa Duck, Henery Hawk, and Mama Bear appear as well.
3. Outstanding performance by Mel Blanc.
4. The animation is very stylized and fluid.
5. Great musical score by Carl Stalling.
6. A lot of cool backgrounds and colors.
7. Several jokes are funny and humorous, such as the running gag where Daffy as the titular hero The Scarlet Pumpernickel frequently crashing into walls of buildings.
8. Daffy never fails to make us laugh as usual on this cartoon.

The Only Bad Quality

1. Elmer's voice is a little off on this cartoon due to him being voiced by Mel Blanc because of Arthur Q. Bryan not working on this cartoon due to having only one line for his character.
