Plot

Mr. Bean meets his friend, Harry, but he ends up losing his sanity overeating too much food.

Why It's a Bad Visitor

  1. To Get the Elephant out of the Room: Mr. Bean encounters a stereotypical visitor named Harry who only deserves food, which causes Mr. Bean to get tortured by him for eating too much food.
  2. As mentioned before, this is a Mr. Bean torture episode due to the point that he cannot eat anything because of Harry, creating a lack of appetite.
  3. Harry is unlikable in this episode as he does what he wants: eating food. That's his only personality trait.
  4. This plot only involves Mr. Bean encountering Harry, who eats food, and Mr. Bean cannot eat anything whatsoever.
  5. This episode leads to some huge plot holes because of the plot:
    • If Mr. Bean cannot eat foods because of Harry, how does his stomach survive? In reality, he will suffer hunger from the lack of appetite.
    • Harry eats too much food that would lead to death instead of surviving.
      • To make things worse, both are major plot-holes in this episode.
    • How does Harry eat refrigerated foods when he would get sick from eating them?
    • When Mr. Bean drives his Mini, he instantly wakes up Scrapper while he is sleeping, which would lead to trouble because Mrs. Wicket will get mad at him for waking Scrapper up.
  6. Mr. Bean dipping Harry's toothbrush in the toilet is disgusting to watch.
  7. As a result of that, Harry survives in using his disgusting toothbrush, resulting in an unresolved climax of this scene.
  8. There is one scene that is mean-spirited: After Mr. Bean calls the taxi to send Harry home, he willingly forgets that his Teddy is with his visitor. This shows how much cruel Harry is because of his stereotypical behavior and ruining Mr. Bean's life.
  9. The scene where Harry buys lots of foods in the supermarket, causes Mr. Bean to get mad at him as well as buying them with lots of money, which explains why he cannot pay the bill of the restaurant because of this, and he becomes a dishwasher when Mr. Bean is not around in the restaurant. ENOUGH SAID.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Mr. Bean is likable in this episode.
  2. The scene where Harry and Mr. Bean do the "Bitty bitty bing bong, bing bong, poo" and blows raspberries is good.
  3. Another scene where they show their childhood photos in school is good.
  4. Satisfying ending: Harry at least got his comeuppance. As a result of Harry becoming a dishwasher, Mr. Bean gets Teddy back from Harry's coat, resulting in blowing his raspberries in front of him.
