Tom and Jerry in New York is an American animated streaming television series for HBO Max. It is a follow-up spinoff to the 2021 film called "Tom & Jerry", which in turn, is based off the original shorts and the franchise of the same name.

Why It Deserves To Go to New York

1. It continues the streaming career of the cat and mouse duo after their last show got cancelled. It also serves as a continuation and next season of sorts to the previous show, featuring the same flash animation from said show's 2nd season and forward.
2. It brought back fan-favourite characters from the franchise, like Little Quacker and Tuffy.
   • The actual Toodles Galore appears in the series after Toots using her name in the previous series.
3. The Royal Gate Hotel is still present, which is a nice place for them to return.
   • Also addition location such as the city park for example are fun locations to look back.
4. The plots for the episodes are very creative that makes these episodes memorable such as:
   • "Put A Ring On It"
   • "Come Fly With Me"
   • "Here Kite-y Kite-y"
   • "It's A Gift, Shoe In"
   • "Bill Board Jumble"
   • "Coney Island Adventure"
   • "Torched Song"
   • "Torpedon't"
   • "Dream Team"
   • and even more...
5. The animation is pretty cool and it's the same animation from the last show, which is really impressive.
6. Tom and Jerry are still the best frenemies in the show.
7. Tom and Toodles' relationship is even cuter and given more depth than it in the original cartoons and even in Tom and Jerry Tales.
8. There is very little dialogue in the series, which stays faithful to the franchise.
9. Unlike the previous series, Spike the Bulldog has remained likable here since he retained his original personality.
10. Other characters are very likable as well, such as the main cast.
    • Some of the human characters are likable as well.
11. Unlike the movie adaptation this series was based off, it actually focuses more on Tom and Jerry and their antics than the human characters.
12. Season 2 brings back characters from either the classic Tom and Jerry cartoons or the 2014 series.

Bad Qualities

1. Despite being a follow-up to the 2021 movie, there are no new characters from the film appeared in the show, not even Kayla nor Terrence.
2. The title cards are just the same title card, unlike The Tom and Jerry Show (2014).
3. There was a few bad episodes, notably "Quacker's Lucky Penny".
4. Some people may be disappointed, as they wanted to see another animation company to animate the series rather than the same one (from Renegade Animation) that The Tom and Jerry Show (2014) had, which may make some people think that this a spin-off of the 2014 series rather the 2021 film.
