Tony Hawk's Proving Ground is the ninth main installment in the Tony Hawk's video game series, and is the final game in the franchise to be developed by Neversoft, who made the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. The Nintendo DS version was developed by Vicarious Visions, and the PS2 and Wii versions were developed by Page 44 Studios. This page will cover the PS2/Wii versions.
Why They Prove They're Disasters
- Imprecise controls, especially in the Wii version. Even worse is that there is no GameCube or Classic Controller support.
- Mediocre graphics; the pros have noticeably lower resolution textures than created skaters.
- Relating to #2, the pros can only be played in certain challenges in the career mode and in two-player mode.
- Free Skate, one of the main modes in the Tony Hawk's series, is not featured in the game.
- The speed of the game is too fast.
- Uninteresting goals.
- No reward for completing a goal on Pro or Sick except for slightly more money.
- Empty levels due to the lack of activities.
- No open world to explore; instead, you pick from a list of separate areas in a menu.
- No Skate Lounge or Video Editor.
- No online multiplayer, even THPS3 from 2001 had online multiplayer on PS2
