Toothache is the 8th episode of Season 2 as well as the 48th episode overall of Mr. Bean the Animated Series
Plot
After Mr. Bean eats crispy foods, he hurts his tooth, so he attempted various attempts in pulling the tooth out, but fails.
Bad Qualities That Hurt People's Teeth
- This is a Mr. Bean torture episode.
- Mr. Bean biting crispy foods while having a toothache is painful to watch.
- At the start of the episode, Mr. Bean forcefully chomping a piece of popcorn can lead to toothache, which he would just simply eat slowly in order to avoid this plot.
- After this scene, he attempted to push the front and back of his toothache, which can hear cracking noise and it is disturbing.
- There are many failed attempts in removing and relieving toothaches:
- Mr. Bean uses salt in the water just to relieve his toothache.
- He grabs a chunk of ice to relieve his pain while sleeping but fails when it melts and he somehow wakes up at 2:30 am.
- The floss scene happens three times and they all fail as a result:
- One, Mr. Bean ties the floss on the doorknob and kicks the door so that he can pull the tooth, but the doorknob itself is removed after kicking the door.
- Two, he uses four colored inflatable floaters and a drawer (with tooth floss tied over it) to make a better tooth removal; so he throws a pot on the drawer to make the latter fall, but the couch and Mr. Bean get pulled through the window causing Scrapper to send him flying and uses its claws to deflate the floaters.
- Three, he even tied the tree in the nearest street using the floss to make a tightrope trap; the red car evaded the trap due to its short height while the motorcycle driver hits the trap, causing Bean to pull off on the street. This makes him worried about the situation and leaves, but the floss got snapped.
- Plot Hole: Does Mr. Bean get a longer floss in this episode?
- Like with other episodes, the Reliant Regal is pointless in this episode.
- After Mr. Bean successfully removes his teeth from the popcorn, he attempted to glue his tooth just so he can attach it to his gum, which cannot control his finger movements when he sleeps. He would have used water to remove that instead.
- Bad Ending: After he attached the Triceratops' horn, possibly in an attempt to attach his tooth, he misplaced its horn so he attempted to remove it with his own teeth, but his tooth hurts after using its mouth, causing him to scream AGAIN.
Good Qualities
- The scene where Mr. Bean scares the receptionist and the clients using his tooth and his attached Triceratops' horn is hilarious.
- There is a hilarious scene where he plays with the dentist's tools while Dr. Fangpuller is checking on Mr. Bean's X-Ray.
