Trasformat was an Italian game show that aired for seven months between 2010 and 2011, with a “second season” in 2012. The show was hosted by Enrico Papi, who, along with his daughter Rebecca, devised the concept. The co-hosts were Raffaella Fico and Katia Follesa, who were replaced by Francesca Cipriani mid-season.
The format involved trying to recognize the faces of celebrities disguised behind heavy photo editing.
Why This Show Was Rigged
- It was obviously rigged; contestants were always attractive college students in their mid-20s, and they almost never emoted, almost as if they knew whether they would win or lose. This is a crime in the United States.
- Its atmosphere was too goofy.
- The part after the last commercial break always began from the end and reminded to where it left off, wasting about 40 seconds.
- Generic music.
- The prizes were too big for this relatively easy game.
- The contestant avatars between each round were creepy. In addition they managed to insult the eliminated contestant by having their avatar cry.
- Its “second season” (which aired in early 2012) wasn’t even a second season, but edited reruns from the first season, which included replacing the co-host with a creepy-looking CGI version of Enrico named “Enrichetto”, which was done in the aforementioned style of the contestant avatars between rounds, with a Chipmunk-style voice (which was just Francesca’s lines pitch shifted, along with recycled replies from her episodes inserted into episodes before she became hostess), as well as a laugh track every time Enrico made a joke or Enrichetto was in the shot waving or dancing.
Redeeming Qualities
- Enrico is an okay host.
- Its concept is actually creative, even winning an award for “most original game show concept” in 2011.
- Its theme song is catchy.
