UNO! is a mobile game developed by Mattel163 Limited and it was released on November 15, 2018.

Why It's Not Number UNO

  1. In order to play online, you must have enough coins, otherwise you need to wait for daily bonuses, or pay real money.
  2. In fact, this game is technically considered a casino game as you win or lose coins at random, despite the game's E rating.
  3. The more cards you have, the more coins you risk losing. Sometimes in a single game, you could end up losing all of your coins.
  4. Incorrect Age Rating: Despite it's E ESRB rating on the app store, players can easily put inappropriate content such as a inappropriate icon via the Facebook link feature, along with the game showing their users the Discord server in the social media section in order to earn coins.
  5. The card mechanic is at random, sometimes you will get a card set that will make you lose, other times its the complete opposite and sometimes that card set will make you win in a matter of seconds.
  6. Slow players that cause the clock to run out are common, this mostly happens during the last few seconds of the game.
  7. The FUN Pack mode is terribly programed, notably the ring match background is programed to be like a tag team arena, however your teammate can also screw your chances of winning due to them being able to draw +2 or a +4 on you.
  8. The challenge mechanic is pretty annoying to deal with, especially if you place a +4 while you try to keep the opposing player to get an UNO while you have the same color card that's placed, if the challenger wins you instead draw 4 cards, if they lose they draw 6.
  9. The game has a lackluster chat system, only having a select number of pre-made messages and a few emotes.
  10. While the soundtrack is good, it's very repetitive. It only has 2-4 songs, one for the main menu, 2 for battling depending on the mode, and 1 for when the game runs out of time.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. The game is still faithful to the card game of the same name, despite its poor execution on the mobile market.
  2. The graphics are pretty decent for a mobile game.
  3. It does have various game modes, making this game basically a superior version of UNO.
  4. As mentioned, the soundtrack is good despite being repetitive.
